Treyy, I suggest you communicate your questions with people who are going through the US Embassy in Kingston.  This way you will have a more realistic answer. At times information varies a lil from country to country.  

What I have learned out here is that people can not just be happy for you. There has to be sarcastic attitudes that should be kept to ones self. Yes there is freedom of speech, but then again there are limits as well. I wish well for others as I have always did. This sight is to be able to share your experiences granted some should be left unsaid, but at times I feel why share experiences or give an explanation if someone has to be a bad apple with again a sarcastic comment or negative comment. Nobody knows what is really and truley going on with a person. We only go by what we are being told. I have never once responded to someones post unless it is a positive comment, regardless of the issue. Too many people are nasty and rude on this site and maybe that is who they are and will never focus on trying to change that. People just really need to keep it positive on this site. It is really sad what I read sometimes. Negative attitudes get people no where while positive ones get you where you want to be in due time. Remember things happen and they happen for a reason. A lesson for life to learn. Just please stop the hating and sarcastic attitude, negative comments should remain silent. Ok so there is no pity because it is the type of visa that he is coming over on and will be allowed to stay. Unless your spouse has a certain profession it will not happen for them. So no I cannot help anyone else out. I did not even help my spouse, it is because of who he is in Jamaica and his profession. Lets just say he is in the entertainment business so he will be entering legally and again will be allowed to stay this is why I say 1. You can only list that you are married if your spouse has a SSN. If not you have to file single. At least that is the law in Massachusetts. Many people have to file single. If you do your taxes electronically which most people do now adays if you check single the next thing it will ask for is the spouses information and their social security number in which they will not have if they have never been to the states. He should have known this. Does not matter how long you were marred. Hope this helps

it is obvious that he either has a contact somewhere that you were not aware of or was planning this all along. When he realizes that he will need his greencard he will be back.
