Hope it goes well for you.  I was surprised this took all of 3 months.  USCIS isn't known for this kind of speed in the recent history.

I had my interview and oath ceremony yesterday.  It was quite smooth except for waiting for the oath ceremony after the interview, but still better than having a separate path ceremony.

Congrats!  Yes, def better doing it all in one day.  I did have to go back the following week for my daughter's ceremony though (and her interview was 2 weeks before mine)

Traveled via Turkish airlines recently.  Only  needed my expired GC and extension letter for the CBP.  That was a smooth experience.   For boarding the plane my Canadian passport was enough.  Funny thing, the airline staff only asked if I had GC after they had printed the boarding pass, and when I said I had one, they said I didn't have to show it to them.

Bad training.  In my case, they called someone to verify the extension letter could be used to extend the expiration date.

Unless your job requires crossing border, even if extension letter expires, you have nothing to worry about.

For I-9 verification, all you need is valid DL / state ID and unrestricted SS card. You can get both now.

I got unrestricted SS card in 2020 and updated DL in 2021. CA DMV gave me new DL expiring in 2026.

When I changed jobs last year, I told new employer I was LPR and provided DL + SS card. No GC was shown or asked in the process.

You should be able to get I-551 stamp or extension letter regardless of your N-400 as long as I-751 is pending.

Moe428 got a reaction from Dashinka in Why wouldn't you file for citizenship?
You have listed the advantages, but let me list a couple more disadvantages:

    1.  No need to perform jury duty
    2.  If you ever need to permanently leave the US and are OK with losing your GC, not getting US citizenship is a better option.

There is one other advantage to be aware of, and that is being able to sponsor your parents or siblings (parent sponsorship is quite fast).
I am still on the fence about applying myself.

Moe428 got a reaction from OldUser in Extension Letters now being increased to 48 months. (merged)
I folded it into 4 levels for a year and re entered US 3 times using that paper.  Now it's another question what that paper would look like after 4 years of folding.  I only had to have for a year.

14-15 months on the low end, 26-28 months on the higher end.  Depends on which service center you are assigned.

November 2021 WAC filer here. Got biometrics reused end of April 2022. And my case is not unique.

With WAC it takes several months for biometrics update.  Maybe for other service centers the advice is to keep sending requests, but definitely not WAC.

It was waived, although I didn't apply for N-400.  If you don't apply for N-400 and let the I-751 play out on its own, odds are it will be waived.

Not sure if things have changed but a year ago it was taking 6 months to show that biometrics were being reused.

+100 People applying for N-400 with pending I-751 should expect I-751 interview in most of the cases, whereas chance of I-751 interview is lower if you don't apply for N-400.
