Interview at USCIS office in Chicago. Arrived on time, I wasn’t sure if they would allow my husband to join given how different USCIS operate but the Chicago folks didn’t even ask questions, they just let him in. we set down for a few minutes and we were called in right away. The officer asked for mine and hubby drivers license, passport and green card. I then told her that when I recently came in for a I-551 stamp they took my conditional green-card since it had expired.
She then said let’s start with I-751 interview, she asked how we met. My husband and I are both chatter box so we told a story of how we met.. she commented on the fact that we travel a lot. It seemed like she had looked at our file. She did not ask for any originals or any additional information.
Then she did my civics test:
- What does the presidents cabinet do
- What political party is the president
- Who is the speaker of the house
- Name a right under the first amendment
- Who was the First president
- Why does the flag have 50 states
Reading- what day is Columbus Day?
Writing - Columbus Day is in October
Then she proceeded to ask the eligibility questions.
She then told me I was approved and should have the oath ceremony in the next 3-4
So glad this journey is finally over and I’m grateful to the visa journey community support
Hi, what are the eligibility questions?
also, this was still the old civics test right? I believe they recently changed it but don’t think it applies to 2020 n400 filers?

Has anyone traveled with a stamp on their passport to extend green card? I called to schedule an Infopass appt since my i751 is still pending 18 months later. I need to travel in August but I’m just a bit scared just having the stamp, and also my passport has my maiden name while other identification cards (green card, license, etc) have my married last name. Do you think that’ll be an issue?
I’m hoping my i751 & n400 are done by then, but want to be sure the stamp is reliable in case I need it.
thanks!

Hey guys, anyone’s case been transferred to NBC in Missouri? Below is my timeline and I’m confused why my I-751 was transferred to MO since I’m in California. Anyone else in the Bay Area with a pending 1-751 and N-400? I wonder if CA is just working slower.
July 2019 - filed I-751
May 2020 - notice to reuse biometrics
July 2020 - filed N-400
Aug 2020 - I-751 transferred to NBC in Missouri

Biometrics completed this morning, it was super quick. Case status hasn't changed yet, still says "Case was received".
What’s your timeline? How long did it take you to get your biometrics appointment? Thanks!

Hi guys! I’m new to the forum, figured I’d track my timeline along with you all!
I just sent out my ROC today, due to arrive on Wednesday, the 31st. My 90 day window opened the 28th, but now I’m a little scared because I dated my form the 27th, and some people are saying it should be within the 90 days. My husband dated it the 29th, so hopefully they don’t care that I did it a day early.

I just logged into my account and saw that my status changed today saying that an RFE has been mailed. As far as I remember, my I-751 was super organized and detailed. I’m nervous about what they’re going to ask me for since I thought I sent as much as I could. Maybe since I filed back in 2019 and it’s almost 2 years later, they want to make sure my husband and I are still in a bona fide marriage? Anyone else gotten an RFE? If so, what’d they ask for? I know this is a case by case basis, just want to get an idea of what they’re asking for.
