So we had our interview today and everything went very well!

    Philadelphia Office
We arrived a bit early and found parking on the street right outside and waited until about 15 minutes before our appointment to go in. They checked our IDs, letter and temperature and we went through a metal detector before being sent to the second floor to wait. We waited about 10 minutes only and had our interview essentially right at the time scheduled.

The IO was very neutral to us the whole time and somewhat strict but not mean. First we took an oath to tell the truth and then he went over the biography section of our I-485, first with my wife (beneficiary) and then with me. He then asked her what date she entered the US, when did we meet and how, what day we got married. He asked if I ever visited her in her home country, and did I visit her in the UK where she was living prior to immigrating here. I confirmed all our visits together. Next he asked her all the yes/no questions from the I-485 about criminal activity.

The only thing she had to explain was a denial for a visa that she applied for during our K1, as she applied for a tourist visa to visit me during the process that was denied because we had an in progress application. Then he asked if we had anything to add to our file, and we gave joint health care, dental insurance, car lease, car insurance, and credit card statements with our names on them, as well as our joint tax return. I recently started a new job so I gave them an employer letter and paystubs. We also gave about 10 pictures from all throughout last year. He filed through them all quite quickly and looked at them all but was kinda just checking the names it seemed.

He then asked if we had any questions and said he had to submit it for final checks and that almost always everything goes fine through those checks and we should get the card in the next few weeks. A couple hours later our status updated on the website to new card produced!

All in all we maybe spent only 20-30 minutes inside the building from start to finish.

Congrats! I'm also on the waiting train for approval. It seems like it's total luck whether you get instant approval or have to wait a few days/weeks. Good luck!

    Hey y'all,

I was going to let everyone know how my interview went. We got there at 12:45 and were the first ones to be allowed inside. We waited in the room and got called in by this gentleman. Before taking a seat we had to take the oath. He asked for my SSN, combo card, passport, my husbands DL and his passport. He made some copies. Took a picture or something. He then proceeded to ask questions about my I485, I had to tell him my name, date of birth, current and previous address, SSN (only knew the last 4 digits) lol, parents name and date of birth, their address and my husbands full name and date of birth. He then started going over the questions from page 11 to 14?.

After that he wanted to know how we had met, when we met irl, when we began our romantic relationship, our first date, relationship with his parents and my parents. He asked my husband where he works, asked when he decided to propose to me and when we decided to do the K1. We talked about our case taking long and he asked why I thought it took long and I gave my explanation because we didn't file the right paperwork about my husbands juvenile case and got an intent to deny.

He was very friendly and made a conversation, he also asked when I had came down and I gave him all my dates, he asked if my diploma would carry over and if id be able to use it.

At the end he asked for our shared bills and I was lucky since I copied them this morning, gave that to him. He asked if we are being pushed by family yet to have children. We said that my husbands mom wants to be a grandma but we will wait lol.

He said he would approve me today and id get my green card in 2 weeks. Told me about the removal of conditions, naturalisation and what to do for that.
