Can I ask you why you stayed such a long time outside of the country?
Did you had a job in the moment you stayed so long out? Like some kind you could work online?

Is just untypical to me if you are living in a country and be out so much time if you have a life here. In 2014 you spent just 80 days in the US and 285 days out. This represents 78% out.
In 2016 was less than that! Looks like too much for somebody who claims be LIVING in the US. If you have a life here, what was the purpose to be so much time out?

What kind of visa did you used to live here? K1?F3/CR1?

They are looking for check it if you lived here or not for the time you are telling.  Travel that much makes they maybe think you was living more there than here.

I think you are in the wrong place. This is all about US VIS, not visas from other countries.

This is more than possible. Is what happens when somebody can't make enough money to support a relative.

You need to do what they asked: find a joint sponsor.

Yes. Is super easy and fast. In my case I did it after passing for the security guard and before entering the waiting room for the interview.

Answer every question with the truth. They have al the information they needed to issue or not the visa so the only thing she can do now is be calm and confident that she is telling all the truth.

Depends of the CO and your case.

They normally want to you to confirm some things they know and have the information.

In my case was, How we met, if I visit the US before, what my husband does for living, which State I was going to live and who was my joint sponsor (CR1 is my visa).

Answer with he truth and everything will be ok

    Good luck

JulianaSteve reacted to DeParaquedasBrasi in Applying after getting denied (Brazil) - need help with ds160
Im going to be brutally honest, because my wife went the thru same exact thing in Brazil.
1st: The Embassy/Consulate doesn't care not one 1% how you feel nor your emotions. Put your feelings aside and realize they see you like a potential immigrant. Yes you may have a good job, but so did the thousands of people that were granted visas and came to overstay....they simply knew how to lie better than those you got refused. Ive stood outside of the consulate and seen impresarios (business men) walk out denied because their case simply didn't convince them.
2nd: If your situation hasn't changed much since the last interview then save your money. Once you've been denied it only gets harder and harder everytime you go back...they want to see what has changed in your life. That advice came directly from a consular officer.
3rd: Don't listen to any other Brazilian who swears to know how to get a visa (I.E youtubers/ friends). The more you listen to their "tricks" the more you'll be denied faster. Consular officers do this all day everyday and see thousands of people stand there swearing how they don't want to live in America and how they love Brazil and how they'll never leave their mom behind blah blah blah. The sooner you see it from this point of view, the sooner youll understand how consular officer see you.
It sounds like you were a Funcionaria Publica for a year before you applied, correct? Well that's not enough. For them you didn't invest much into that job to convince them that you actually "love" your job.
Theres no such thing as tricks to get a visa....simply say the truth and if it's not good for them, well unfortunately it might never be.....and they wouldn't  care any less. Sorry but its the hard truth.
Once again, if nothing has changed since your last interview then your just wasting your time and money. You're young, single, no kids, no husband, nada.....youre a high risk to them. The more you try frequently, the more you make it harder to get a visa........even if someone on youtube says they tried the very next week after being denied and then got approved.

Sorry but "..It's in our culture to live with family if we are single, especially for women.." isn't  such a thing.

I'm from Brazil too. Maybe this is something normal in your family because in my isn't.

    "2) Travel companions information:
Is it ok to write my half brother there or is it better to say no ? I don't want the officer to think I'm using my brother to get a visa because he already as one. I'm afraid it might be suspicious for him even the plan is to go with my brother. "

Tell the truth is always the best option.

Having a job with the government is not different than have a normal job. Is not like a guarantee, haven't "weight" for the US Government, sorry.

Like you said you've been working there since 2017 and your visa was denied in 2018. You are a "funcionaria publica" (Government employee) at that moment and was not enough to show ties with Brazil.

You said you salary is good for a person in Brazil but in the same time you are living with your mother and want to go to Miami to visit and shopping.

What's really changed in your life situation after the visa was denied? Are you studying? Buying a house? Something that shows NOW you have more ties?

Because this is the thing they really want to know.

I hope you can find more ties and get your visa soon to be able to travel.

    Good luck

Unfortunately B2 is based on her application alone.. getting married would make it harder to obtain a B2..

getting married and applying CR1 would complicate things.. plus given you have no intention on moving back to the US, you’d be denied due to domicile issues.

other option is for your family to visit you or you all go meet in a third country

JulianaSteve reacted to Unlockable in Question regarding cancelled tourist visa
OK. I had to laugh at this one...
Do they really think that the only way to track a passport is physically??? Take a look at the passport image. It is filled with security and tracking measures including a way to scan it with a laser. A passport is tied to a person even if they lose the old one. The US government has limitless amounts of servers and computers that save passport data (and other personal data but that is a discussion for another thread). I can't believe that people think simply getting another passport will erase their travel history or identity.

LOL  A new one?  That is a waste of time and money.  The US will know the moment she applies that she had a cancelled visa.

Just apply for the spousal visa.

Ignore the sarcastic comments above (you know who you are).

If you've been to Korea as you've said, it might help your case a bit since you've had a chance to go to a first-world country and you honored that visa by not overstaying. But it's still a long shot. Keep your expectations low, but you might luck out.

If they ask why you want to go to the U.S., just be honest and don't lie.

Normally for schedule the medical appointment they will ask you for the CASE NUMBER which they need to included in the document they will be filing in the day of your exams.

Is better wait because NVC timeline is tricky! If your case have a delay you will lose your money and time.
