Ahem....not really. I add the pictures and chats because I feel like they show we have a relationship. I'm neither scared nor wasting time. 
A proof of purchase, yes, but a ticket can be cancelled later and refunded. So it's not a proof.
A boarding pass proves you MAY board but NOT that YOU DID. So there goes your logic.

You're absolutely right, nobody should listen to what that person says.

Okay so maybe you were lucky with that, and maybe others have been lucky with that as well. It does say on the actually site that photos and chat logs help. I am getting ready for my fiance interview gathering paperwork and they told us to bring pictures and chat records. 
 
 I personally believe it is better safe than sorry. I feel like you telling this person directly not to add photos or anything is wrong. What if he got an RFE due to not having that information because he went with what you told him ? I also was able to get my NOA 2 within in 82 days and I gave them " useless photos, and chat records.''
 
It shocks me you were able to obtain a visa with any proof you were together. Okay so maybe you were in your fiances country but how do they know you actually spent time together?? This is why having pictures is important. I stand by them needing pictures and again when they do their interview in ALGERIA he will need to bring photos. As you well know every Embassy is different. 
 
You being able to be there for your fiance is nice not everyone has that luxury to do that. We have to prove these things. So again just because you somehow got a visa approved without any photos congrats to you, but some of us are not willing to take a risk and not include them to delay our cases even longer than the process already takes.

She stayed with her family here, but I have pictures with them, and with my family when she came to my house. So I guess I have nothing to fear anymore!

Yes. I would include those receipts. Did she stay with her family during her last trip to Algeria? Or did she stay with yours? I would include photos of her with your family if you have them (I would only include a total of 5 photos.....she can always send more with you to the interview....or take them with her if she plans on attending the interview....the consulate will review any additional information you have during the interview...including subsequent trips of you two together) 
 

I thought the same thing. I was shocked by the information that they were giving. The pictures have zero weight comment shocked me honestly. How else would they know that you actually went and being seen with the family I heard is a big part.

I personally didn’t submit any receipts while in Algeria. I did put all mine in a binder in plastic sheets. I also submitted pictures not a lot just maybe 8 from both times I was with my fiancé. I also made sure to submit his visa and my visa from when we met in Istanbul for the first time then my visa with stamps from when I entered and left Algeria. I did all that and I had absolutely no problems. I didn’t receive an RFE or anything and my case actually went fairly quick, and is now in transit to Algeria as we speak. If you need any help you can private message me. I know this is stressful and everyone has their own way of doing things. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yes.  You are trying to document that you were in the same place (country) at the same or certain time 
 
Credit card receipts can work because you can tie the receipt to the credit card account 

Unless you can tie the receipt to the USC,  it is just any receipt and of no value for proof of meeting.   Boarding passes, passport stamps,  hotel folios with named customer,  etc.... 

Respectfully disagree with you on the bolded part.  I read his original post as asking about documents needed for the initial filing.
 
Edited to Add:  Yesterday, according to his posting history, he mentioned he was "getting ready to send in the i-129 paperwork."

The initial filing of the 129f does not require a “certificate of non marriage”.
 
I mistakenly thought the OP was further down the road than she/he is.....

And I apologize for the confusion.... OP (in my opinion) is not talking about the filing of the 129f.....he’s talking about the document requirements for the interview. 

Like you stated:  only if you were married before.
If you weren't, nothing is needed.

why would you need a marriage certificate?

Where do you see this requirement for a marriage certificate.  You are way off course......I suggest you read and understand  the K-1 guide here and learn it before sending your documents.....

Were you married before?  If so, you have to include the valid documents that show the prior marriage was terminated.
