Oops, never mind.  Just saw that there is no age difference.

Ideally for high-fraud consulates, more in-person face time is needed.

i didn't change mine and filed all paperwork with my name different than his /its ok not to change name and if she changes her mind later, it can be done when applying for naturalization.

To me it was important to keep my former name as my grandchildren used that name and it was easier for the school personal for all of us to have same last name for me to pick them up at school if need be.

Women don't have to change their name and BTW some men do

18 months of absense is a long time to establish a "real relationship"
How long were u together 18 months ago?
Does your tunisian family approve , especially your mother?
Is she of child bearing age?
this interview will depend on how well u can answer questions about your USC fiancee
Do u know every little and big thing about her,  her family,  her life in the US?

    no instant denial
its up to u to prove you love her,  like her,   and will build a life together in the US
Tunis approved 11 K1's in January and 5 in December

A child who has not lived in the U.S. for 5 years can meet the 5-year residency requirement if the parent who is the worker, and the other parent, have both lived in the U.S. for 5 years. However, we will not pay children adopted outside the U.S. while they reside outside the U.S., even if they meet the residency requirement.

If u create a profile timeline and hit the German flag,  your post will appear in the German portal
i say that is important as i remember about 2 years ago seeing another German post talking about the same issue

I tried a search and could not find it
but a post in the German portal may get  a better answer

Important Notice on Missing Documents: If a required document is unavailable per the country-specific guidelines, you do not need to scan the document into your CEAC. However, if you cannot obtain a required document for another reason, you must submit a detailed written explanation to NVC when you scan your other documents. During your visa interview, the consular officer will determine whether you must obtain the missing document before a visa can be issued. As a general rule, any document that is listed as “available” on the country-specific guidelines must be reviewed by a consular officer. Failure to obtain all required documents will delay your case.

marriage certificate in most states list woman's name as her maiden name/ you can use husband's last name on the petition I 485 for applying for green card with proof of the marriage

For purposes of requesting immigration benefits, a married person may use a legal married name (spouse’s surname), a legal pre-marriage name, or any form of either (for example, hyphenated name, pre-married name or spouse’s surname). Requestors must submit legal documentation, such as that listed below, to show that the name used is the requestor’s legal name:[2]
    Civil marriage certificate;

Most marriage certificates only list each spouse's name at the time of the marriage and do not list a specific married name.Jan 29, 2024
