Just get married and have the USC petition you for a spousal visa. K-1s are not a “try it out,” and I expect they’ll question your intent to marry after doing that.

Moving from family, your country and friends can be stressful and by doing K1, it adds to stress of waiting out the AOS process and homesickness on top of feeling walled in as u can not work or return home to visit . That is why the spouse visa is superior. check crazycat's charts.
Have u and USC checked the new fees to adjust your status in the US after marriage?
AOS fees now total $2540 for I 131 , I 485 and I 765 plus if USCIS requires a new medical in the US , there will be dr appointment costs. with I 129 K1 fee of $675
https://www.uscis.gov/forms/filing-fees/frequently-asked-questions-on-the-uscis-fee-rule
The cost to do a spouse visa is $1070 for for I 130 and the 2 NVC fees with an additional $220 to process green card after visa issued.
Marrying and filing for spouse visa would show a real relationship and aid your new process
Add to this which is important to USC,, you can be added to workplace insurance easier and USC can include u on tax returns to double the deduction (in the year u marry)

Further down the road you will need to show that USC filed federal tax returns if worked outside the US
If no US income, joint sponsor will be needed
immigrant will need criminal reports from all countries lived in
https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-5-collect-financial-evidence-and-other-supporting-documents/step-7-collect-civil-documents.html
Criminal reports per USCIS needed:
Are 16 years old or older Lived in your country of nationality for more than 6 months at any time in your life Your country of nationality Are 16 years old or older Have lived in your country of current residence (if different from nationality) for more than 6 months -

they can choose any of the sites near u for the oath
and ours was done at a courthouse with judge
and be USCIS officer who pedcides or judge
The Secretary of Homeland Security has the authority to administer the Oath and may delegate the authority to other officials within DHS and to other employees of the United States
In addition, immigration judges may also administer the Oath in administrative ceremonies. During judicial naturalization ceremonies, the judge in the district of proper jurisdiction has exclusive authority to administer the Oath.

JeanneAdil got a reaction from spicynujac in Does Short Courtship Affect K-1 Visa Approval for International Couples?
Now that the fees to adjust your status after a US marriage have doubled, spouse visa makes mush more sense as both K1 and CR1 take about the same time.
If u will not return to Nigeria to live, send for the criminal report documents that will be needed for your Finland interview.
If u do return to Nigeria for an interview , make sure u get a Finish criminal report before u leave.
what is important now is that you have over a year to show more trips to be together and you can prove it with copies of boarding passes, hotel receipts , etc
time spent together will be very important to your case.
It would be best if the USC joined the site for information as she is the one who now is responsible for the process
