MF.  You don't perceive it as fraud.  But you are willing to lie about a bona fide marriage at your green card interview to get a green card.

How stupid do you think people are?  Do you think you have an original plan?  You don't think that we have seen other people like you come on VJ to ask these stupid questions and pretend you are innocent to get help to lie for a green card?  Unfortunately, you are not the first idiot to come ask us for help and you'll not going to be the last.

"If she breaks up with me while I'm still in love with her, she will devastate me."  But let me tell you about my wife's friend who has a crush on me.  I'm going to divorce my wife and marry her.

This person had already been approved for their conditional green card and divorce happened AFTER that. That is not the same as your situation as your AOS is still pending. Your situation is much more problematic.

She doesn't want to hurt you no matter what.  But she's okay with immigration fraud?  Are you okay with hurting her?  It's a crime to commit immigration fraud.

You wouldn't call it fraudulent???????   REALLY??????   OF COURSE NOT.  YOUR NOT GOING TO TELL THE IMMIGRATION OFFICER YOUR PLAN.  Holy cow.

Yeah, no. That right there looks suspicious. If you say “I haven’t fallen in love with her friend yet” it makes it look like this is all planned out, especially when you throw in the expression “long- term roadmap “

    Oh, so convenient!
Because you’ll divorce your wife, and so the basis of the petition would be gone. Moreover, if you do divorce but don’t tell the interviewer, it will be considered immigration fraud and will bite you in the back one way or another.
If you hide the truth, it’s because you know that what you’re doing is wrong.

Can US companies hire foreign workers? Yes, US companies can hire foreign workers either as full-time employees or independent contractors, with the option of either working remotely in their home country or relocating to the US with the relevant labor certification and visa.

Indeed I agree, we would have spent more time together but COVID had other ideas. The good news is I spent 23 years in the foreign service posted oversees (with USAID not State but posted at embassies none the less). I retired from the FS and am now a University professor. He is a lawyer with a masters degree in Economics and very well educated and did some work with some folks for State before we left and as it turns out we have some mutual friends we did not even know about (folks we met through work). He is a fluent English speaker and I am a fluent French and Arabic speaker and we have significant interests in commons (favorite authors, values etc etc) I say all this as he is not typical from his country nor am I. We are able to overcome many of the points raised by the embassy but the age difference is there. Despite that difference, we are very connected and committed.

20 years age difference?  That is a BIG red flag.   400 pages?  That is fluffy overkill.....Video chats are meaningless.  Your business is meaningless.  How could a business relationship be relevant to immigration?   Conversations with your family is meaningless.    The best evidence for your age difference is showing evidence of quality time ACTUALLY  together face to face....EXACTLY, how many times have you visited?  Is that age difference normal for your fiance's culture?  If I were a Consular Officer, I would have a lot of questions.
How much time have you actually spent together?
    Good luck.

Before filing for any petition ,  read what USCIS says about the CCP
and at least consult an attorney (a good immigration attorney who really knows what is involved)
a consultation fee is a small fee compared to what u will be spending on travel ,  petition and a waiver plus all the time to go thru this process

u joined when a grad and to seek better job opportunities (a good lawyer might be able to stretch the Purpose of obtaining employment part or he may know of other options that qualify for a waiver / u are going to need that

    1. by contacting embassy and they will cancel the visa
    2. not getting married to him if he is able to come
    3. not filing AOS for him to stay legally/ he can not adust thru another woman unless u married and divorce him
then he's free to stay and AOS with a divorce waiver

make sure of your feelings because if u cancel ,  u can not undo the cancellation
make sure your head is doing the thinking
if u have evidence he is talking to other women,  then he probably has one lined up here in case things don't work out with u

The chance of approval is based on the applicant's demonstrated strong ties to his/her home country.  History of travel and adhering to other country's visa terms (no overstays or other violations) also helps.

Welcome to the K1 haters club (aka visajourney). Just kidding..........maybe not.

All jokes aside, most people find ways to assimulate to the country. Many do volunteer work. When my wife came over, she was fine for about a month. She visited family that was already here and did things like research schools and such she could join. Then it really started to hit her around the 3rd month. This was a woman that has work all of her adult life now just sitting around the house waiting for me to get home. It made a big impact to her mental and emotional wellbeing. She got her EAD/AP and the GC almost at the same time a couple of weeks later. And the first thing she did after getting it was book a flight to visit family back home.

This was before Covid so it was no where near the long wait it is now. This is why this site is notorious for advising people who want to do the K1 to consider the spousal visa instead. For ua, it is just not worth it. Even if someone is adjusting status from a tourist visa it is not worth it. You are virtually trapped and prevented from starting your new life here for months.

But EAD/AP timelines are getting better. Hopefully, the worse is behind us all.

According to July posts he listened to other Moroccans who said "attend the interview"
unfortunately that is what most in Morocco do
they get advice from other Moroccans instead of reading official sites or reading embassy posts
"I'll ask someone is what i heard all the time in Moroc"
and his friends gave advice to try to help him get a US visa / not understanding what CO's look for in an interview and that even if he had gotten to the US ,  the green card would be sent to his "wife's " address
he tried to bypass the system and i suspect the CO knew

i am sure when your wife was notified of the interview date,  she sent a message saying she no longer supported the petition and that she had informed u of her decision
this is why the CO was rude
Co would have seen it as u trying to get to US under false claims (not to unite with your wife)
Basically this is a misprep on your part

they should treat all with respect but many embassies do not

i am sure the CO asked u specific questions about your wife and your marriage
u have to say the truth /  there is no pretending all is ok so they approve a visa
if u are not getting back together with your wife ,  there was no reason to attend the interview for a spouse visa
and the CO knew the facts and reacted according to the issues surrounding a failed marriage

If an alien is caught using fraud or willful misrepresentation of a material fact to procure an immigration benefit, he or she will be deemed inadmissible to the United States. This ground of inadmissibility is particularly severe because it attaches to an alien for life.

you wrote back  in July that she was withdrawing her support so attending an interview was fruitless

and yes,  Casa is very much like this when it comes to interviews
1st one the Co asked my husband "what does your family think of her?"
i had spent a month with them all and he said , "they love her and smiled "
CO said "you smile, you lie"

your USC wife will probably send u papers to sign for the divorce
if she does,  make sure you only sign if the lawyer and /or her sends u a copy of the final divorce

she will not make another trip to get the moroccan divorce as she gave up a long time ago

    The truth is as follows:
USC and moroccan marry and its a long process for the visa so many give up
now,  the USC does not want to spend money to fly back for the easy moroccan divorce (and i know this is easy -not hard like the marriage process as i watched it happen many times)
now,  the Moroccan can try to make the divorce but its hard to  find USC and serve the papers (plus the dowry has to be paid if not paid at time of marriage)
many moroccans have tried to get help from US embassy when this happens  and there is nothing the embassy can do
your government is also at a loss to help

you think the embassy is hard but they have seen it all and still try to protect both the USC and the Moroccan as they have all the facts
i am sure they had info that your USC wife was no longer supporting your visa as u stated in July

i wished u a happy life back then and i do the same now
but find a woman who will be supportive in your religion and make sure she is one your mother approves of -that's a good indicator

so,  it would not be as u suggest / u already knew you wanted to marry
