NVC only sends this notice per email to petitioner (at least since 2015 for out interview)
petitioner sends to beneficary with all documents needed from the USC as noted in instructions
bene's need to provide the originals with English translations like the birth certificate, criminal report(s) as also noted in the instructions

JeanneAdil reacted to K1visaHopeful in AOS Filing another Affidavit of Support i-864? (Already did one for k-1 visa petition)
The petitioner provided the K1 beneficiary with an I134 (not an I864) for their K1 visa interview.
An I864 is required for I485.
I134 and I864 are not the same.
The I864 must be filled with current details and have current supporting financial documents so even if they were the same form, your documents would be not current.

Don't worry about notifying USCIS at this point. When the petition gets to the consulate via NVC, she will need to fill out her current employment history as well as disclose her income.
Good Luck!
P.S. Since the process is heavy for the USC at this point, you may suggest for your fiancé to set up a VJ account for any specific questions she may have for this part of the process.

Severe financial loss to a company or person, provided that the need for urgent action is not the result of the petitioner’s or applicant’s failure to timely file the benefit request or to timely respond to any requests for evidence; he can try it

JeanneAdil got a reaction from OldUser in Which immigration plan makes more sense?
you mention US wife lives and works in Canada
has she been filing US tax returns as its a requirement?
there is form 2555 for foreign income exclusion up the the amount listed for each year like its $107,600 for 2020, $108,700 for 2021, $112,000 for 2022, and $120,000 for 2023).

u will take the IRS transcript (as is with old job and W2's) plus letter from new employer with start dates of the new job and salary with pay stubs to the interview

JeanneAdil got a reaction from Allaboutwaiting in Name Change???
you never HAVE TO change your last name in US/ its not even required for naturalization process
If u decide to do during naturalization , u can
and u are free to travel on green card till u surrender it at oath ceremony
i would make sure the biometrics is done or they say USCIS will reuse the ones on file , then travel as needed till interview is scheduled

JeanneAdil reacted to Dashinka in Loophole for Visiting While I-129f Pending?
Regardless of your plan, you can only stay for the duration CBP allows. If an officer sees a return ticket for 2 weeks out, they could authorize your stay for only two weeks. Also what do you do if CBP sends you to secondary and they want to review your social media posts? You are not required to offer any information to CBP other than to answer their questions truthfully (purpose of visit along with who you plan to visit are fairly common questions), and you seem to have a plan on an open social media website planning to attempt a deception. As I mentioned before, not a good plan.

JeanneAdil reacted to canadian_wife in Loophole for Visiting While I-129f Pending?
This is such a bad idea. CBP are very well trained at detecting things like this.
What if they call your employer to verify your employment?
What if they see you have a 2 week trip booked and they limit your trip to 2 weeks? Then you must return home with no job?
No one on here is going to condone or support your plan. I suggest you plan a trip for 2 weeks, return to your home county, continue to work until you move to the U.S. on your K-1 visa.
Good luck

I wouldn't do it either
but by Plane u can as it is not considered an international flight unless it lands in another country
but by cruise ship , NO , as that travels thru international waters even if the only stiop(s) are St Thomas and/ or Puerto Rico

Just double check with him on the reasons why he found living in the US so challenging.
If it was about his partner not being present enough because of work, not being able to navigate the city/town he lived in because of DL issues, being stuck at home with no money. Then spousal is the way to go because he will encounter the same issues with you.
But, honestly speaking- I would go the K1 route because getting married in SA is a pain. I would try to get in at least one more visit though because quicker doesn’t mean “quick” and it could still be a year and some change before he is able to move to the US.
Don’t compare his first process with his second process. it was 8 years ago… If you’re banking on things being as quick as it was.. temper your expectations. Prepare for the worst…
And follow SA k1 visa timelines here.

JeanneAdil got a reaction from mam521 in K1 visa second time
Eight years ago was prior to 2020 pandemic / things are very different now
even the list of drs that do medicals has changed in this timeframe
you don't have to live a year with him to prove bona fida marriage /
for USCIS
requirements are to have met in last 2 years
to have a valid marriage certificate
and to consummate the marriage residency
for NVC
requirements
US income to meet 125% of poverty level income
and file US taxes
and have a US residency
living a year in foreign country with new spouse is not a requirement and most can only spend a few weeks of vacation time with new spouse

You, the USC, are not the applicant of the I 485
your new spouse is
The principal applicant is usually the individual named as the beneficiary of an immigrant petition or who is otherwise qualified to adjust status
Is your spouse already getting "means tested benefits"?

JeanneAdil got a reaction from R&OC in Online I-130 - We have taken action on your case
the action would be that your documents have been fed into the computer system
now, u just wait till an officer opens the case and starts a real review (6 to 12 months from now)
further updates (if u get any) may also say actively reviewed
this happens when an officer reviews paperwork to ensure all documents are there, all are signed properly and if anything is missing an RFE is sent (RFE is really nothing to worry about )
when officer gets any document(s) the case is actively reviewed again to download new document as the computer generates the "actively reviewed" notice

JeanneAdil reacted to Boiler in Help, please. B2 tourist visas for 2 relatives in Colombia.
I have been a member here for more than 16 years and have seen no end of B applications, must be thousands. When I applied for my my B I was young(er) and naive. Anyway why are they not paying their own way? I have never paid for my relatives to visit nor would it have occurred to any of us that I should do so.

I read the post and by answered by telling u the wait time should give u an idea of how long u will wait to see schedule for interview which would be in 2026
I doubt tourist visa schedule is even out for the entire year of 2024
aome embassies only show the next 2 months to schedule B1/B2
but checking the Bogata webpage gives u the instructions
https://co.usembassy.gov/visas/important-visa-information/
Once you make a cash payment, it can take up to 3 business days for it to register in this system, at which time you can schedule a Consular Section appointment. You may use the cash payment slip for only one transaction. -
JeanneAdil reacted to appleblossom in Help, please. B2 tourist visas for 2 relatives in Colombia.
The question has been answered - your relatives schedule them as and when they can find slots, they may be days or even weeks apart. Or they may get lucky and get two together, nobody will know until they try and schedule their appointments.
Please remember that English is not everybody's first language here. Even if somebody may have misunderstood the nuance of your question, they are simply trying to help you.

you asked the following and i answered it
does anyone know
does anyone know how or if i can schedule their appointments together in Bogota or did i screw myself by filing and paying the fees before finding the answer to my question?

Understand also that after creating the account
the site may say
No appointments available at this time
and u will have to check monthly or daily or weekly to find an open in a little less than 2 years
and just look for a day when there are 2 slots open and choose that day
2 application
2 separate interviews but can happen on same day if u schedule it that way
