i filed for my parents on o saturday 04/22/2023. received the recipt letter on friday 04/28/2023.
 
i couldnt find anything so creating one. please follow along so we all know where we stand.

We received our approval today. PD 4/4/23. Wishing the rest of you approval coming soon.

You don't need the originals for proof of US Citizenship. So no need to send your US Passport or Naturalization Certificate.
 
Also, you don't need originals for the AoS. You'll need a copy of the form, W2, and Tax Transcript (or Tax Return).
 
The only originals that are required are Birth Certificates for the petitioner and Birth Certificate/Marriage Certificate for beneficiary.
 
Each embassy/consulate has a checklist of documents to bring to the interview, double check everything on their website.
You can also check the embassy/consulate page here at VJ., there's usually helpful information there. However, take it with a grain of salt as it might be outdated.

i am not very sure but if this is the first time you are filing for your mother then your answer should have been a no as you have never filed for her.
 
if she entered USA through any other visa and that was filed by you then your answer should be a yes. 
 
i assume this is the very first application you are making for your mother ever.
 
again dont take this very accurate as  i can definately be wrong and not understanding your situation.

they saw my documents before going for the interview. there they asked me about my pcc issued by england police.
they never saw any of my husbands tax or transcript documents.
 
she asked for proof and i gave her my small wedding album and told her i didnt bring the big one as its heavy. she looked at it and didnt ask me anything.
 
they took all my original documents and returned back after i was approved and kept the passport.

I just got documentarily qualified after one day of submission!! Whoo hoo! 

I got approved. 
i was interview by a lady.
she asked me about my husband, how we met, if it was an arranged or love marriage, who arranged it, what are his likes and dislikes, where he works and has he been to india after the wedding, and if he has how many times.
because i had joint sponsor i was asked couple of question related to that.
she also asked me question about my husbands family members.
finally she ended the interview with couple question related to my education in england and what are my plans after getting to USA
 
and last but not the least i want to thank each and everyone who was there to answer all my query. Thank you all. Thank you

I’m so ready! I’m flying over to him this coming Saturday and for the most part I’ve packed. I’ll definitely report on the experience!

Medical for Delhi cost us 9000 and vaccinations were an additional 4000. Others paid 16000+ so id say the price isn’t too far off

2) Most interviews were short from what she observed.   Some were as long as 25-30 minutes.   A few were rejected as the CO wasn't satisfied.
3) Some questions asked to my DIL were:
        a) Who's calling?
        b) Was yours a love or arranged marriage?  If arranged, how?
        c) Where will you go once you reach US?
        d) Do you plan to work?  What will you do? What is your educational background.
 
She was then told her visa was approved.

What I found on the internet so take with a grain of salt regarding Indian PCC:
 
PCC mentions your File No and your passport number. If you reissue your passport after issue of PCC then passport number changes. You have 2 options going forward:
1. Elaborate to Immigration officer in Letter of Explanation about your passport update. The new passport has old passport number written on it. It would be at the officers' discretion to accept this request.
2. Get new PCC on updated passport. matter of another 500/- this time you get your PCC upfront as you recently updated the passport

Received IL for my mom.
DQ date : June 20th June
Interview Letter Date: 20th Sept 
Interview Date: 24th Oct
 
Question I have is, My father is inline for interview as well. His DQ date is July 22nd. I was hoping to get his interview with my mom as well but so far no update on his case Do you guys know what can I do to get his interview with my mom? I was under assumption that NVC generally schedules interview of family together but I can understand since my father's DQ date is later (Even though I submitted the same documents for both the parents) Should I call NVC or US Consulate ? Not to mention NVC helpline number is always BUSY. 
 
Another Question regarding my mom's interview. I just received email with date and time. It does not mention anything that I have to create account with ustravel docs. I am asking this because I am not sure if she needs to do biometric before the interview or no.

It’s good for one year when used for immigration purposes

I have a question regarding PCC similar to the one asked above. My PCC will expire before my interview . ( Mumbai continues to delay it  ) It will be 6 months since the PCC was issued. Do I need to get another PCC for the interview?
Would appreciate if Mum folks replied too! Any feedback from anyone is welcome! Thanks

We got the IL on sep 20
Interview scheduled on October 15
CC was August 26.
