He needs to fill out a sheet with some personal data but you can find it on Google and show him what to put in where. After that he only needs to follow instructions. "Follow here, look in the camera, this finger, that finger..." 
There is no conversation going on. So if he understands basic English he'll be fine.

Visa approved.  Issue never came up.  Few questions and interview a breeze.

Biometrics appointment done! No interpreter needed, the lady spoke Spanish. Arrived an hour early and they took us in. I had to wait in the lobby and my husband was in and out. No more than 10 mins. We got home by 9:00am (which was the time of our appointment lol).

11 months...DQ in July of 2020 and in early June 2021 we received an interview date of June 23, 2021

Hello everyone,
We have our interview coming up soon and been trying to get everything ready but been having issues locating where to upload updated background check and other documents I've uploaded a screenshot of how it looks when I login onto the CEAC portal and no luck finding where I can upload anything I've reach out to the visa help desk but they were no help the US embassy in Santo Domingo put out a notification saying applicants who do not upload this documents prior to the appointment will have their appointments rescheduled. Has anyone experienced this before or anyone has any ideal how I can upload these documents. Thanks in advance

It's a "thing" in that it indicates where you will interview, but it means nothing more than that in a CR1 or IR1 case context.

Presumably he will file with a divorce waiver,well he may already done so.
 
So you will have 3 husbands and 2 children to sponsor.

Pandemic has changed the normal.   You should look to your country portal and see what information you might find helpful 

Received NOA 2 in June of 2020. NVC notified us that they sent our documents to consulate in early march of 2021. Received interview date in an e-mail from consulate in the first week of April.
 
We received our interview date randomly about 3 weeks before the interview so it was a bit of a scramble to get everything done before the interview. We had filled out and sent in our DS-160 and I-134 in October of 2020 so we were a bit ahead of the game luckily

Long time lurker, first time poster. We had our interview in Santo Domingo on Apr 27th. 
 
I was present with my beneficiary for the interview, there was no issue with both of us entering the building. In fact, the majority of the people in for interviews that day had both the petitioner and beneficiary present. I think it was a benefit for both of us to be there as the interviewer asked us both questions about each other, each others family, how we communicate, how we met etc. The whole process from waiting in line to enter the building, handing in our documents and having our interview took a total of about an hour.
 
During our interview the only additional information I was asked for was additional pictures, which I provided 8-10, the woman looked over them and then gave them back to us. The interviewer was very nice and was easy to talk to. Our case was very tight from the beginning and we had loads of extra documents and evidence so our experience was quick and easy. My fiance was nervous but I was not. The process was actually much easier than I expected.
 
At the end of the interview the woman interviewing us told us the visa was approved. On Monday of this week, my fiance picked up her visa and sealed information packet from the Gazcue center without issue. 

Hey everyone going through the embassy in the Dominican Republic, I was wondering if anyone has any update of what dates they are processing for IR1, IR2.
My wife and daughter was DQ'd on June 9th 2020 and I still haven't received any info about our case and I even asked my local representatives for help with no luck. I would just like to know the people who have recently had interviews tell me when they were DQ'd and did not have their cases expedited so I can get a general sense how things are moving. I appreciate any help thanks.

Has anybody gotten IL for their parent?
 
I would like to have an idea on what DQ date the embassy in Santo Domingo is interviewing.

Still waiting on NVC to DQ her documents.
 
Can I estimate another 12 months wait, if so I just want to relax and forget about the case for awhile. Immigration processes stress me out a lot and I can't deal with this amount of stress right now.

Anybody know where they are at ? We’ve been documentary qualified since August 2020, No interview yet ! This is annoying!! 

Hey just want to update my fiance and I got our interview date for april 8th and we got approved...we were so excited and relieved and started tears of joy. I just came back from DR yesterday and my fiance is waiting for her passport which she just received a email saying is ready today. 

CR-1 Visa Approved!  Zoom Ceremony.
 
My husband and I married through Utah Online marriage ceremony in September 2020. I visited him in Costa Rica in October 2020 and filed for the CR-1. Our I-130 was approved January 29, 2021. We were DQ in the NVC on February 16, 2021 and received our interview date on February 24th.
 
My husband passed his interview this morning and now we await his passport and POE in the coming weeks.

We received the interview letter today that my stepdaughter is scheduled for an interview on May 11 in Santo Domingo. I'm a USC. She is age 5. We are getting her to medicals done first thing Monday but does she need to also get her Biometrics at VAC? We really need to know something rather quickly so as to be prepared. 3 weeks does not give us much time but we are overjoyed. What do we need to be prepared for the interview since she is five years old?
The A# is at the bottom of the interview notice. Is this common for her to get an A# before an interview? 

We finally have an interview date set. And the consulate sent the letter and it described that my husband needs the original birth certificate, marriage certificate, passport and d260 confirmation page.  And that is it. Now, I’ve been prepping a folder with my tax return transcripts, copies of our passports. I’ve been going off the pre interview check list. Which has a lot more documents needed for interview date. I’m nervous that he will get there and not have everything he needs. And I’m not sure how to mail these documents to DR without them getting lost. Anybody have experience with this can give me some insight. 

They have been issuing IR1/CR1 visas throughout the pandemic. They issued over 200 each month since September. At this point they have started interviewing cases approved In April and May. We had all docs approved Sept 2, Santo Domingo and are hoping to have the interview in the next 3-4 mos. Dont believe the embassy website. go here and you can see the monthly visas issued by country

There is a LONG backlog of interviews. We have been approved since September and NOTHING. It appears from social media accounts that they are still interviewing couples qualified in May 2020. It has been so slow and such a Long wait!

This wait is so frustrating. We’ve celebrated being approved and all hopes are high. Every time my phone dings mon-fri, I think it’s THE email to set the interview date. Its making me crazy 😅. Waiting 90 day fiancé sometimes I wish I had did the K1 visa years ago and he would already be here.
