Summer has arrived in Rio de Janeiro and, away from the city’s beaches, business is booming in the rooftop tanning salons that dot the city’s low-income neighbourhoods. On these sun-soaked terraces, overlooking the urban sprawl and packed with women of all ages and sizes, the accessory of choice is electrical tape.
This unorthodox adornment is the secret to what has become a Rio fashion trademark: crisp bikini tan lines so perfect they are almost fluorescent. But not everyone is a fan. The practice horrifies dermatologists, and some Brazilians consider tape tan lines to be tacky and even vulgar.

“The dream is to have a mark like a neon light. When it looks like someone painted [the tan lines] on to you,” says Larissa Cardoso, 29, who runs a rooftop tanning salon above her home in a favela in western Rio.
As well as an electrical tape bikini applied directly on to the body, a careful sunbathing procedure must be followed to obtain the coveted marquinha de fita (“little tape mark”), as the clean-cut tan lines are called in Portuguese.
“I don’t get tan lines easily. With the tape, it works,” says Paola Santos, 25, who was finally getting her little mark back in December after a 10-month tanning hiatus while she had a baby. “I couldn’t wait to come back,” she adds

what happened was I decided that 
we have to see each other again because it was past 2 years since the last time we were together. (June 2019 was the last and this was Nov 2021). I did not file.
 
Anyway, fast forward, waited for another year, we met again on December 2022. We celebrated welcoming year 2023 in another country.
 
filed the K-1 March 2023. Latest status is “RECEIVED” By USCIS.

That's not a red flag at all. USCIS is only interested in whether the relationship is genuine. They aren't there to pass moral judgements.
 
When I first met my now wife she was (unhappily) married, and when we started our relationship she was separated from her ex, but still married.  It wasn't a problem with USCIS at all, and I was never asked about it at any point of the immigration process.
 
In our case we had to wait over a year until her divorce was finalized before we could start the k1 (NC law requires at least 1 year separation). I think that tends to add to the evidence of a genuine relationship, it meant we'd had 4 or 5 visits to each other by the time we filed the k1 application. A scammer would probably prefer to find someone who is available to marry immediately and not bother with multiple meetings.

If you are asking if I this a red flag that you plan to marry someone who is a different gender than your first spouse, the answer is no.  
 
Also, State and USCIS, in my personal experience, don’t care if you started a romantic relationship while still married to the USA citizen who petitioned your own green card.  Maybe you or your fiancée will get asked about it.  In your case and in my case, your marriage was irrevocably broken, and the evidence was divorce proceedings.  
 
 

If the nets save even one jumper's life or causes him to look for help rather than try jumping, they're worth it.

If you applied in 2020 then I suspect that’s more to do with the Covid backlog than anything else, all processing times increased hugely after that. 

The online ‘countdown’ is notoriously inaccurate, if you search the forum you’ll find tons of threads about how it’s best to completely ignore it. 
 
Hopefully you’ll have approval soon, you can search the forum for more accurate timelines from those who’ve shared theirs.

I do use AdBlocker+, but I leave it off on VJ even though the ads are super annoying because the site needs to pay for itself somehow! Mostly I don't mind the ads (currently this page is showing me a relatively new Lexus for sale) but I always wonder how so many dating ads get on here. We stayed in last night.  I got a great nights sleep, much of it on the couch waiting for the moment.  Unfortunately I woke up at 1:00am and headed straight to bed.
 
Today we visited my daughter and the newborn twins.  Came back and had a traditional meal of hamburger and fresh corn on the cob.

Yesterday was spent drinking punch and cider of the non-alcoholic variety, making up a seafood platter, chicken salad sandwiches, and cheese/crackers for snacking, watching movies with plenty of popcorn, and playing Scrabble-Monopoly - a new mashup of the two games. Dessert was a Smith Island cake by me. Briefly watched Anderson Cooper get silly drunk for a while.
 
Today is traditional pork and sauerkraut.

I got a beautiful photography/art book with the photos of Lillian Bassman, who was a fashion photographer for Harper's Bazaar in the 40's and 50's, and worked beyond there. Absolutely gorgeous. I also got a big bottle of a perfume called Escapade Gourmande, which according to my husband makes me smell like dessert, and therefore in danger of being devoured as such around him and his sweet tooth. He received a wool Pendleton blanket long enough to cover his toes, a wool commando sweater, a popcorn machine (which he mentioned ages ago he wanted) and a crystal pipette for his whisky, which is a silly thing but apparently it hit the mark.
