Starting lower, or from the beginning, isn't all bad.  You'll be able to deal with the natural differences between what you're used to and the American system, and still be able to show your proficiency.  Realizing this enables you to take best advantage of such an opportunity.

I got my interview date! Oct 17th, super happy. Question, when did you get the medical forms from the consulate? My interview letter told me to book the appointment but the doctors office said I should receive some forms from the consulate first?

Woke up to my IL notice! It was received in my email at 1:15am PST. Interview date is October 22, CC Aug 22. Country is Belize

Based on current trend, the NVC been sending IL around 12th and 22nd each month. I guess expect first round of some IL next week. 

Had my interview today - CR1 Interview in London - approved!

got this problem when using Firefox but if you use microsoft edge/Chrome it'll appear. Just wait a bit as there's some delay before the messages start to show up.

1. for some reasons the DS-261 no longer applies if you process through CEAC so just leave it.
 
2. You're pretty much done and just need to wait for NVC to review the docs.

Police certificate is valid for 1 year. When you attend your interview and the police certificate past the 1 year mark then you'll need to get a new one and bring it to your interview.

WOOHOOO! That's awesome! Congratulations. Would be amazing if I got my IL next month when the Oct Bulletin comes out, fingers crossed!!

FYI mom got an interview invite at Mumbai Consulate a moment ago too.  Her dq was May 7 and her interview date is same as that for dad: sep 27
