But I was married 3.5 years?

BiAdam got a reaction from SalishSea in DS-160 Not asking for previous employment/education/training
Yeah, what I mean is two people filled the same form at the same time. I don't think it is because the answers are different, the other form was filled with almost the same information. The same thing happened to me in 2019 when I was filling DS-260 form, it was again the prev experience. I had to fill the form multiple times until I found the solution, but it worked at the end. I don't want to risk the visa appointment because of a bug in the system.

I'm interested in who had the same experience with the form before, whether they found a solution, and if not what happened at the visa appointment. I don't think it's important who is filling the form or why.

That's not the case for those adjusting status from K1.  I assume your parents entered the US with B visas, not K1 visas.  Different situation from @SleepyRabbit's wife who applied for AOS from K1.  AOS applicants who were K1 visa holders typically do not need an I-693 at all.  Their DS-3025 form will remain valid however long it takes for the AOS interview to be scheduled, as long as their I-485 was filed within 1 year of the K1 medical exam.

Sure! First of all, I got approved and the green card is on the way!

Very bad from our side was that we were extremely late. We lined up on the wrong side of the building, on the side of 444 Washington Street with a bunch of people that were already waiting there. My letter said 444 Washington Street, 2nd floor! 20 minutes we were waiting there in the sun with 15 people ahead of us and when it was our turn to chat with the security guard to enter, he said: 'you're at the wrong entrance, go around to the entrance on Sansome street'.
Freaking out at this point. We enter through Sansome Street and the security guards were really friendly. We took the elevator up to the second floor and gave my name and we were asked to sit down in the waiting area. Still freaking out about how late we were. We were called 2 minutes after by the officer and entered her office.
The interview itself was very decent, questions about our wedding and wedding date. If my husband has met my parents, stuff like that. She asked me around 10 of those yes/no questions. I gave her all the documents I had, pictures, bank statements even though she did not explicitly asked for particular documents. She told me she will review the documents and 1.5 hour later after we left the status changed to card in production. This was 4/15. Today is 4/21 and it says the card is mailed to me, haven't received it yet.

BiAdam got a reaction from Ketlen in EAD Renewal & Chicago lockbox delays
Does anyone know how long USCIS Chicago lockbox to open packages? USCIS released an update in January (https://www.uscis.gov/news/alerts/uscis-lockbox-updates) saying that lockboxes are experiencing significant delays.

I sent my package for renewal a month ago along with a G-1145, and still didn't hear anything from them. I don't know if it's waiting to be opened, or if there is a mistake and I'll receive it back.

I need the extension of EAD soon (by June) and a new AP as soon as possible. I can't even try to expedite it as I don't have a case number.

SF is so slow and yes it has become a financial burden for us. We filed our I-485 October 23, 2019 along with the I-131 & I-765 My husbands combo card expired on February 9, 2021 and we never bothered to renew it because stupidly we thought by the time it was renewed he would have his green card.  WE were interviewed for his AOS on February 26, 2021, it's been almost one month and we still have no decision.  At our interview we told the Officer that my husband had been interviewed for a job and we were expecting good results. The next day he was offered the job... That wasw almost a month ago, today, no job, no Green card. SF is intolerably slow, it's extremely frustrating.

You should see the notice soon, it will usually say we received your application for EAD/AP, and we will use the current bio metrics we have on file ( They may need you to do new ones, but I doubt it) then my friend that just did his got the new card a week after he received the notice. I would think you will see the status change to card being produced in a few weeks from now. Keep an eye on the case number when you get the notice. It should start with a EOA, or EOI prefix because it is processed electronically.

When you call the USCIS number, say "technical problem" on every prompt until you get a human agent on the line.

Yes. My wife had her interview at the San Francisco office in late January, 2021.  That was after being in the ""Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview" status for over a year.

Just got an email that my interview is scheduled! Been at 'ready to schedule interview' since 2020 January. Applied for I-485 in November 2019.

I'm also applying to renew my combo card this week. It expires in February 2021, so filing 180 days before expiry.

Here's what I included for each application (I-765 & I-131 - obviously substitute Form I-131 for Form I-765 in that application) based on scanning quite a few posts that resulted in successful renewals.

    2 x Passport Photos
    Form G-1145, E-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance
Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization
Copy of Applicant’s Passport information page and current entry stamp
Copy of I-797C, Notice of Action, receipt notice of pending I-485
Copy of I-797, Notice of Action, approval notice of current I-766
Copy of Applicant’s current Employment Authorization Document
Copy of current Employment Authorization Document tear-off portion
    Copy of Applicant’s I-94
Don't forget there's a new edition of form I-765 that came into effect on 25th August 2020.

    Best of luck

Hi I am making a new post so it is in the relevant section.

I did my AOS in May 2017 from a k1 visa, my EAD will expire in Sep 2018 so I am looking to do ead renewal 180 days prior to expiration. I am still waiting for a GC interview date

From what I understand I need to file

How many G1145's do you need to complete and how many passport photos are required since it is a combo card. Are all forms posted to the I765 address? Would the category for the I765 be (C9) On the I131 form in section 2 is it 1d we select (AP to allow me to return to US after temporary foreign travel) Do the NOA's have to be original or can you keep the originals and send photocopies?  Am I correct in saying the NOA I receive from the extension application extends my current EAD card for a limited amount of time until the new physical card arrives?

    Hey guys! 🙂

I received my combo card in the mail today. I wasn’t expecting it until tomorrow (the tracking info said tomorrow) so it was a nice surprise! 🙂

Best of luck to everyone still waiting for news and for those who had their GC interviews scheduled but then cancelled, that some progress is made there very soon too! 🌈😀
