😢😢😢😢😢😭😭😭😭😭 what am I to do guys, should I postpone my interview, those who are going for interview on Monday should pls keep us posted
Go on with the appointment... it's just sad and not right, i still feel this is the wrong category of visa to Ban. And again when laws like this apply, it's not supposed to affect those who applied/approved before the effective date. I believe in miracles.

Has anyone spoken to NVC since the announcement about how the ban impacts cases? I was thinking nvc would update their website with some FAQS. I had a chat with one of the advisers in the nigeria presidency today. He said govt is seriously working with US to resolve the issue and we should be hopeful but i always find it difficult to believe people in govt.
I know right, also had a chat with someone who knows what's going on in the government circle, in his words "The ban will be lifted in 6 months or less, it will be reversed " but like you said, i don't know why i find it hard to believe them. I wish we can create a WhatsApp group or something, we need eachother.. lol.. it's just tiring thinking about how everything will play out... immediate families were supposed to be exempted from this ban.. so unfair... anyway.. i am being positive. Best of luck to us all.

Did you mean iit "can't" affect spousal visa? Because you said "don't stress yourself about travel ban"
How sure are you that the ban won't affect spousal visa? That will be a great relief, because a lot of us are really stressing abour the ban...

This is exactly what happened to me, I was told to submit my supporting documents along with my passport which I did but they returned my passport and asked me to wait untill they requested for it. I was confused as you are then. They will review your supporting documents and contact you to submit your passport later. This can be btw a week to a months, it depends. Every cases pass through administrative processing so your update is normal.
Dont stress yourself about ban, it can affect spousal visa.
Do you mean it can't affect spousal visa? Are you sure about this?

I wish to thank your husband for his service. Unfortunately there is no "right" to immigrate a spouse, even being a veteran. Hope things work out for you!
Amen. Thank you

I think new filers may have an issue but those who are almost a year in the making and having paid fees already will be okay. What is uscis going to do just take our money and then nothing? Will they return everyones money? I think not.
My thoughts exactly

Hello,
I wanted clarity on the recent information concerning Nigeria. I am a spouse of a Nigerian (I am the US citizen). He has a young child under the age of 6 and has not petitioned for her as yet. She is listed on the initial filing as a child my spouse has. What is the direction and how will this affect her?
Hello dear, nobody knows yet.. we're all still waiting for clarification.. i am bothered as well.. let's hope for the best, and pray miraculously this ban is lifted off us who has spouses that we need to re-unite with.

Good evening VJ
I am Nigerian and a Married daughter of a US citizen currently residing in Lagos, Nigeria. My immigrant visa interview with my husband and two children under the (F3) visa classification comes up on March 12th 2020.
Considering the immigrant visa ban on Nigeria announced yesterday by President Trump?
1.Will I get the visa ?.
2.Will i and my family be denied due the the new policy which will take effect this February?.
3.What is the best possible way for me to handle this new development to get the best or favorable outcome ?.
4. What options do we have ?.
Thank you for your insights and guidiance.
Nobody knows yet, i am also at the NVC stage and the news is shocking, they said the ban takes effect on the 22nd of February. But i feel everyone who was approved before this date will be approved. Best of luck to us all. The process is draining enough, now this. Sad

No, It won’t cause any delay. I submitted AOS documents first and then a few days later I submitted the civil documents. Your waiting starts when all documents have been submitted, in my case, when I submitted civil documents.
Oh great, thank you so much Iscir

Hello VJ family,
Must one upload the A.O.S package and the Civil Documents at the same time?
And if we don't upload them at the same time, will it cause any form of delay?
Just curious

Just got 2 emails saying we got DQ.
Is NVC monitoring these threads or what? The threat of me calling every other day must have got them to press the "APPROVE"! or perhaps good lord up above heard my prayers.
Good luck everyone!
👏💃 Congratulations, so happy for you

Hello, i need your help.
So yesterday when we payed for the Affidavit of support fee on CEAC site, it wrote processing.
We checked again few hours time just for confirmation and it wrote PAY NOW again, when we had already payed and saw processing.
Has this happened to anyone? Is this normal? Should we be worried? Should we pay again?
I will appreciate your swift response.
Thank you VJ family.

I am Nigerian, 30 years old and my husband is 46.... we got approved.... the age gap shouldn't be a problem, if you practice the same religion, speak the same language, married, and how long you've been married.... okay, dont be too bothered okay, you're gonna get approved. dont stop praying too.

We waited 3 days after paying Aos and immigrant visa fee to change the status to paid. Goodluck☺️.
You too dear. Thank you

Hello VJ Family, we made our A.O.S payment, and we clicked on payment, but there wasn't a confirmation. Does that mean we are done, even without a confirmation? Should we just assume the payment is made or What. Thanks in after for your help.

I really don't know when NVC received my case beautiful i never called, i was just waiting for 30days. But someone said she thinks they receive it 7 days after USCIS sends it to them.
I don't know how true, but i want to believe they received it around that time. Just keep calling them, you will hear from them soon okay.

Not really, I'm just thinking out loud. We all just have to wait for people's interview reviews for next week, and see what happens.
And i don't know if they will allow spouses visit (B1/B2) since that isn't banned at least, this is so unfair.
