  1. I don't need any relationship evidence, I'm filing based on five years of residency. All I have in my folder is a copy of the entire N-400 package I sent, all the originals of everything, my passports and my tax transcrips in case they ask for them. I always have my GC on me and I'll get the photos on Tuesday, but I do believe they probably won't ask for them.

Just need to force myself to study now.

  2. Haha yep! I have the PDF of flip cards on my computer and an app on my phone. I have the actual flip cards as well but have never used them.

I have an app on my phone but apart from testing it out when I first got it I haven't really looked at it. I'm terrible for putting things off until the last minute! I just sorted through all my paperwork and put it all together in a file, and tomorrow I'm going to get my passport photos at Rite-Aid on my way home from work. So, apart from studying I think I'm good to go. Please tell me I'm good to go!!! ohmy.png

  3. The N-400 instructions tell you exactly where to send it. However, you have almost a year before you apply so I really wouldn't bother worrying about it yet, things could change before then. When your time comes just read the instructions carefully and you can't go wrong.

  4. It says...Married applicants must obtain an original marriage certificate, or a certified copy, bearing the appropriate seal or stamp of the issuing authority. A certificate is required for all marriages, including those that were dissolved.

Your USC husband isn't the applicant so his marriage certificate shouldn't be required.

  5. @Luxus - I'm interested to hear about your walk in for biometrics. Everywhere I read on the USCIS site says that you need to have an appointment to be able to get in.

Anyone else have any experiences of walk Ins?

Some places allow it, some don't, all you can do is try. You do need your appointment letter though, you can't do it until you've been scheduled for biometrics.

I did early biometrics for ROC and Naturalization in Charlotte, NC.

  6. Along with the N-400 just send everything that's listed on the instructions that are relevent to you. Also send anything on the M-477 checklist that might be relevent to you. You will list the overseas places you've traveled to on the N-400.

Applying for citizenship is very simple compared to applying for visas and permanent residency...don't try to make it more complicated than you need to.

  7. After five and a half years the only thing I really miss are instant gravy granules.

America seems to love fast food and convenience food, yet they are averse to instant gravy. Probably because hardly anyone owns a kettle. And if you do own a kettle it takes 15 minutes to boil. rolleyes.gif

All this talk about crumpets and I've never had one. So I just bought some at Kroger. They sorta look like American pancakes, not flipped to the second side. So do you toast them in the toaster? What's your favorite way to eat them?

Drowning in butter and nothing else.

The Kroger ones probably aren't the same as British ones...I've yet to find a comparable one in the US.
