I don't think you're being used for a greencard per se if she doesn't want to move to the US.
Did you each pay for your own travels to Lisboa?
If you are exploring third countries for living, would be interesting to understand why she believes your relationship wouldn't last in Lisbon - have you asked her about that? If not maybe start increasing the depth of conversations to really get to know each other. If my spouse would tell me such a big thing, he would also tell me why he believes this to be true.
You should definitely visit her at home and confirm the situation described is true. You could also offer moving to Brazil simply to catch her reaction.

Correct. The immigrant is not a package that can be returned.

At the end of the form, after reviewing and clicking "submit", you'll be re-directed to online payment. I paid via credit card, got charged within minutes and received our case number momentarily.

While waiting for Welcome Letter, you can make yourself familiar with the NVC process outlined here: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-1-submit-a-petition/step-2-begin-nvc-processing.html
The instructions are pretty comprehensive and easy to follow.
Upon receipt of the welcome letter, you can contact NVC via inquiry form and ask to connect your parents cases, to ensure they will be interviewed on the same day.

Once you become "Documentarily Qualified" in NVC stage, your parents cases will remain at NVC until the visa ban for this category has been lifted, at which point NVC will schedule their interview and send the cases to their embassy.

Quarknase got a reaction from Chancy in how long did it take them to approve the derivative addition?
For F2a category you can add the derivatives as you did. The visa bulletin is current so that’s also no concern at this point.
administrative tasks have been taking longer at NVC lately, I saw up to two weeks only to add joint sponsors. Proceed uploading documents for the other applicants and if nothing happens after another week or two call NVC and ask. They’ve been saying up to 6 weeks for administrative tasks recently.

it is normal for immigrants from pakistan to go thru months (even a year ) for AP of addtional security checking / even a woman from Fes in  Morocco was in AP for 11 months with no evidence of travel ,  etc
a congressman can only find out what you already know ( the last communication received by you) saying she received a 221g and refused at this point (while they do the extra security
a US lawyer has no influence in Pakistan
if you want ,  you can go to senator office ,  fill out a form giving him/her permission to check on your case but it will only be the result as i said above

It is unfair. Sadly Iraqis and Iranis have to deal with it currently
We went through Amman (transferred from Abu Dhabi) - horrible embassy, I don’t recommend it. In my personal ranking probably the second worse consular section currently right after Cairo.

I don’t think screenshots from a forum will do anything for you. Do you have the visit visa that you can travel to UAE if they schedule you? That will be your best supporting document.

Ankara currently only interviews residents of Turkey. Some Iraqis temporarily move to Turkey, acquire residency there, and then email the residence card to the embassy and NVC to request a transfer. A transfer while residing in Iraq won’t help you at all, unfortunately: https://tr.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/

there have been cases where NVC issued a new DQ letter after transfer, however these are too rare to know if this actually does anything to the spot in line. Since Iraqis are skipped based on DQ date anyways I imagine it doesn’t have any impact but I have no data to back that up.

I know of some folks that have May 2020 DQ and are still waiting for IL in Abu Dhabi. While UAE residents with DQ in 2021 have gotten IL. It appears that NVC still schedules only UAE residents for interview. It’s tough for Iraqis to get a visit visa to UAE at the moment so if you have that, send a photo to NVC via public inquiry form and ask to be scheduled since your DQ is much older than the current DQ in line with NVC.

    Those three documents are fine.
Since you filed under 3 year rule, you also need to prepare proof of bonafide relationship - filing under 3 year rule with VAWA waives the requirement to still live with the abuser, but the IO can ask you for relationship proof (from before you left the abuser).
Pretty much the same as for everyone else applying under 3 year rule applies to you as well, except you don’t have to live with them anymore.

I personally wasn’t asked anything during the  interview (except the IO confirmed that I filed under VAWA). But they can ask, so you should bring as much proof as you can gather and if they ask then just be honest and explain why you don’t have anything else. They know of VAWA circumstances.

I don’t think that you need an attorney, but do whatever makes you feel comfortable!

Newark NJ office update: I was at the interview for total 15-20 minutes. As soon as we finished they had same day oath ceremonies so I decided to stay and got my naturalization certificate right away. It feels great to be done with USCIS!
for those who are waiting, I wish you speedy processing times and the same day paths :)

The IO said the oath doesn’t have scheduled times, they wait until approx. 30 people are ready and then call them in.

Passport, drivers license, greencard. That greencard I never saw again 🤣 I filed online and had everything uploaded (tax transcript etc) maybe that’s why they didn’t ask. I had everything with me lol
