  1.

I guess the SS could get issued if we had ever gotten the EAD as that was the form the check box is on.

(You must also answer "Yes" to Item nubmer 15. Consent for Disclosure, to receive a card.)"

Since the EAD was never processed, only the AOS, we have to do go get the SS number ourselves.

Thank, I forgot which form the checkbox was on :).
  2. My wife just got her 2 year green card! YAY!

When we applied for the card we checked the box to get a SSN number with the AOS.    One didn't arrive with the card and I don't see any reference to one coming in any of the documentation.

Do we go to the Social security office and follow up?   We don't want to accidently apply twice.

I think it only applies to the applicant. It says provide a list of your debt/liabilities. That's how I'm going to do it.

That is how I read it as well, however legally when we got married I think we assumed each others debts didn't we?  That is why I think we have to list both.  Any evidence to the contrary on that?  I would really love to list the applicants debts which are zero.

  4. The Montreal consulate moved to a different address (I think in early November 2019).  The letter we received from them in October said that a citizen could attend the interview, however when I got there for the interview in December the petitioner could not attend.  This apparently was because the place they moved to was smaller and could not accommodate the extra people.  The petitioner also is not allowed to wait on the street so I waited at the coffee shop up the block.
