Got our 48 month extension letter today

The letter will state that her greencard is extended for two years.  She can use that letter along with her passport/greencard to travel domestic and internationally - of course it's always the officer's discretion to re-enter but unless there's some other concern the letter should not be a problem. 
Pretty sure it's right in the middle of the pack.  Vermont seems to be going super fast and Potomac super slow. 

File I-751.  Receive a 2 year extension letter.  Pack the 2 year extension letter in your carry on bag for your trip whether your gc has expired or not.  
 
When you return to the USA, present your gc to the airline (which must not be Delta, Spirit, or Turkish) and CBP.  If your gc has expired, present your extension letter to the airline and to CBP as well.  CBP might ask for your extension letter regardless whether you gc has expired.  
 
Our experience:
 
* filed I-751 in October 2021
 
* went on two cruises in November and December 2021. Carried extension letter. Was not asked. December was at Miami cruise port which uses facial recognition and doesn’t check documents.  
 
* Took a cruise on a Friday in January, 2 days before the gc expired. As the gc was due to expire during the cruise, presented the extension letter.  Front line personnel had no clue. Second line personnel had no clue.  After an hour we got to third line personnel who had a clue.  Upon return, CBP didn’t look at the extension letter. 
 
* February 2022, flew to Cancun.  Front line and second line airline employees clueless. Third line had a clue and we were checked in. At the departure gate we go through the same drama.  Upon arrival in Mexico the federal border officer accepted the extension letter and gc.  On the return, first line airline employee had a clue.  Upon arrival, CBP asked for extension letter and verified the case status online before admitting us 
 
* July 2022 flight to Canada. Nightmarish checkin because airline refused to  check us in without using their kiosk.  3rd line airline employee let us check in.  Return from Canada was a breeze and CBP verified case status on extension letter.  
 
God I hate extension letters and for that matter green cards. I had a green card over 30 years. Never a problem flying with a gc, a Canadian passport, and white skin. My wife with her gc, Burmese passport, and golden skin has a much different experience.  Airlines are among the most racist entities I’ve seen.  Hopefully by March 1 her  travel nightmares end with a U.S. passport in hand.

When I first joined this board, I clearly remember two people who mentioned something about having a "minor criminal offense" 20 years ago, and them being adamant about not sending in the criminal record, because it was so minor.  Fast forward 3 months and they were in a thread wondering why they were receiving an RFE from USCIS. 
 
Since then, helping people avoid RFEs for Criminal Records and Divorce Records has been my thing.  That, and dealing with Venezuelan "tramites."
 
I agree with you.  An RFE isn't the end of the world.  If we can help people avoid them, we help the members here get to their loved ones a little quicker, and we help reduce USCIS caseload.

I don't want @mochitw to receive an RFE like so many others have received.  I'm 99% sure they will send an RFE if they don't do the following:
 
Please ask your fiancé to get a certified copy of the charges from the court and sent the original to USCIS.  There will be stamps and seals on this document.  Just marking the box is not enough.  USCIS wants to see the final disposition of any criminal charge that is not a minor traffic offense.

Claudia and I had our interview on December 23rd.  It went fairly smooth, other than the phone connection with the translator, and then a billing issue w/ the translator company.
 
The officer asked most of the questions from the I-485 form and asked to see bank statements, insurance cards, and any other info that show "cohabitation."
 
We received approval 2 hours later, and Claudia's 2 year green card was shipped yesterday.  It should arrive early this week.
 
Now, here's the dumb question:  What's next?

We arrived about 40 mins earlier, so we waited in a car as we were not allowed to go inside the office until 15 mins before the interview time. 
After we went inside, we had to wait about 15-20 mins till our number was called.  
Only limited numbers of people were in the office.

NO. FRAUDULENT VOTES by the evil LEFT have to be recounted. The democrats, with the help of all the media, US postal service, etc. are trying to steal this election! The ballot-counting can not be stopped the night of any election, which is what happens here. Trinidad and Tobago. Being a US Citizen, by their IMMIGRATION LAWS, I had to leave after 90 days, then return anytime thereafter. I traveled back and forth like this for the time I spent with my new family. Almost three years. (That's very costly, but my family was worth it!) I returned from a trip and because I did not have a printed return ticket OUT of T&T, they wanted me to leave! When it was confirmed I had a return ticket from the airlines, it was only then they let me re-enter! And they still criticized MY PRESIDENT for doing the same!
(Keep in mind, Obama was the US Prez when this happened. When Trump was elected, they criticized him when he said US will be deporting criminals back to their home countries. These were illegals, committing atrocious crimes like raping and killing.)
 
That's ALL countries but like the DemoNcrats, the rules don't apply to them. Criminals running from the police in T&T were found in the US. #######? They got a Visa to enter MY COUNTRY but I get when they think I don't even have a return ticket and want to turn me away. 
 
I migrated my wife and stepdaughter who arrived in August, 2018. My wife WORKS!!! (part time) She doesn't have to. She WANTS to. Our daughter had a PT job, herself during the Christmas Season. (before the scamdemic) She WANTS to work! 
 
I've gone on a rant here, but made it as short as possible, with details I hope people will understand. I'm not against anyone entering the US legally and with nothing but good intentions. Same as our President. People coming in expecting 'free' gov assistance, welfare, live off the US tax paying citizens, and any criminal intent, KEEP THAT IN YOUR OWN COUNTRY! America is FULL! No room for you!
 
**Coming legally IS a long process. Plenty of fees, making it somewhat costly. At times, it will seem as though the process wants you to just throw in the towel and give up. It gets frustrating sometimes. We went through it too! I told my wife, I AM NOT GIVING UP! I'LL GIVE THEM THE DOCUMENTS THEY REQUEST. (They repeatedly asked for some of the same ones we had already submitted. Fine. I kept everything filed and organized and sent what they wanted.) Now that my family is here, I know it was worth all the frustration we went through!
 
TRUMP WILL BE RE-ELECTED! FOUR MORE YEARS! That's a GOOD thing. The democrats represent a Socialist mind-set. America will NEVER be a Socialist country! It will remain the GREATEST COUNTRY EVER! Trump is keeping our country safe for the US Citizens and safe for the LEGAL Immigrants, from the criminals trying to enter illegally.

My interview has been scheduled 🎉 now waiting for the letter to come in. Still haven’t gotten my EAD and I got another AP biometrics on Monday.. 

I found this list of documents for the renewal process, its pretty much the same + the documents of your first combo card:
 
For EAD renewal: 

1. Fill out and sign form I-765. 
2. Two RECENT passport color photos with A-Number written on the back of them
3. I 765 Approval Notice and Receipts 
4. Photocopy of 485 receipt (i-797) 
5. Form G1145 for (email/sms) notification during the application process (optional)
6. Photocopy of Current EAD/AP combo card (front and back)
7. Bar codes page attached to the previous EAD/AP approval (optional)
8. Copy of Marriage Certificate for dependent only (optional)
9. Front and back copy of I-94 (this is not required for people with pending I485).

For AP renewal: 

1. Fill out and sign form I-131. 
2. Two RECENT passport photos with A-Number written on the back of them 
3. Photocopy of 485 receipt/ Approval Notice (i-797) 
4. I-485 Receipts 
5. Form G1145 for (email/sms) notification during the application process (optional)
6. Photocopy of Current EAD/AP combo card 
7. Bar codes page attached to the previous EAD/AP approval (optional)
8. Copy of Marriage Certificate for dependent only (optional)
 
There shouldn't be any fees and I think you also need to renew within 180 days of your current EAD expiration day (but i would double check that number in case it was changed). 

Our case just got updated to "ready to be scheduled for interview."  Looking forward to getting through the next phase of the process.

Mine never said "card being produced."  It went straight to "card was mailed."  It took 2 days to receive my card in Tennessee after it was mailed.
