Same. I cannot in good conscious put my name on something without having the details.
If it becomes necessary, I will do so as I support the limited exceptions (with precautions to avoid spread of the virus).

I don't mean to say it's certainly not that, but the fact is we do not know the details of the EO yet. This may or may not be a petition for a circumstance that does not even apply.

no, thats their speculation, so far everything thats been leaked suggests spouses will be fine.

Me and My wife did DCF and she has the immigrant visa issued in her passport but we have not entered USA yet, does it mean she will be turned back at the border? Since they would issue green card on arrival, at least that what was told??? 

Wait, so if you have the Visa already and try to enter the US you will not be allowed to enter or is it only for people applying for them?!

K1s are interesting since they are technically a non-immigrant visa hence the DS160, but at the consulate stage they are treated as an IV family based.  Everything is complete speculation at this point, but signs seem to be pointing toward employment based visas being most impacted.  I certainly hope that anything coming from this EO is short lived.

Fiancés are not immediate relatives.  That being said, a K1 is still a family based visa, so we will have to wait and see.

"Halt on work visas"...what do you think H-2A visas are (and they are not banning these)? They are especially for farm labor  --- that might I remind you, are especially essential for Americans to eat! Last I checked, I never saw a single American out in the farm digging dirt to feed the rest of us!

Waking up to this news and my heart is crushed. It's very hard to adapt the 'just be patient' outlook that people are recommending, when there are more factors than just longing to see your partner at stake.
 
I have a valid K1 which was issued and I was supposed to travel from the UK on the 8th Apr, but couldnt due to the travel bans. My visa expires on the 9th Jun.
Meantime, I resigned from my job in Feb and gave my 1 month notice, so had just finished working when this all hit. I also work in the travel industry and there is zero chance of getting my or another industry related job in the present circumstances. My US fiance has therefore paid the downfall between my rent/bills that my savings couldnt cover for the last month and would have continued to do so until the travel ban was lifted. Now I am going to be stuck. I have no family here in the UK as I'm originally from Australia, which before anyone comments that I should just go back there, I have 2 pets that were also coming to the US until their flight was also cancelled and are not allowed to go to Australia for a long time.
 
I had just made peace with the fact that my visa might expire before I can travel and would have to go down the route of a possible reissue request based on information from the UK USA embassy, so even after all the months worrying about the initial K1 and process, I had accepted it was just going to take a bit longer. Now, this announcement may be forcing us to be apart for an indefinite period of time. My US truck driving fiance who hasnt stopped working through all of this to ensure food and essentials are still delivered throughout the US, who is paying double rent and then some, for us over there and here due to the crisis is so upset, as I am.
 
I am completely lost,  my heart is so deflated.

My advice, everyone keep calm and just sit it out. Consular services were already suspended so immigration wasn't going anywhere. Immigration is a privilege, remember that. Many of us have been separated for a while or, like us have been living outside of the states and wanting to go back (like my wife). Right now even the passport application for our, natural born citizen son isn't even getting processed so we were stuck to begin with. Once the EO has been signed we'll know more and then we can consider mass panic 🙃

There needs to be a ban on twitter for all future presidents from putting these type of policy announcements that are still not 100% done and signed.

Based on what? No work history?  No, as a new LPR you're not entitled to government benefits. Your sponsor signed I-864 to take care of you - so go to that person. Additionally, perhaps stop studying for something that won't put food on the table now and get a job - lots of businesses hiring.
