October 10th is es soweit 🎉

I only heard good things about the Mt Laurel office and the IO's there. So fingers crossed.
Everything is approved by now, only waiting for an appointment. Hope it comes soon 😊

Congratulations! How was the interview portion? Ours is a week from today! Did they confirm they do same day oath even though you couldn't participate? I'm sorry you weren't able to do it all in one visit.
I did not ask unfortunately if same day is still available. Interview took maybe 10 minutes. My IO was straight forward but super nice. Didn't wanted to see any other documents, but I made it a point to lay my folder on the table so she could see that I'm prepared 😅

You need to go in person and bring the citizenship certificate. It's very easy. Also take the time to update at the DMV.
Why the DMV?

Same, about 6 weeks. So, not sure what you've seen regarding receiving anything within the "first few days", but I guess 6-8 weeks IS the first few days of the process given how long these processes always take! 🥲
When filing online many get an instant notification. Basically the receipt notice straight followed by the biometrics reuse. In our April filer group I was the only one who filed online who didn't get it instantly.

Just got the update of ROC approval. This comes as no surprise since I had my naturalization interview on Tuesday and the IO requested my file to approve it before I can take my oath. It wasn't a combo interview. Just N400 and the IO said if the ROC looks as good as the N400 she'll approve it.

Passed the thing. No oath today tho cause they didn't have my ROC file. The ROC status just changed to case transferred.
She said if the ROC file looks as good as the N400 she doesn't see any problems and will approve everything as soon as she has the file.
I'm just glad the test is done 🥳

Hello everyone! Looking for some guidance . I applied April 16th in Dallas, Texas under 5 year rule and I haven’t heard anything since April 16th. Is there anyone else in the same boat? Thanks so much and wishing everyone all the best.
Nothing since the receipt notice? No biometrics or anything since then? Did you check what the processing times for Dallas are? Unless you're outside of their processing times there's unfortunately not much you can do.

Interview date is coming close. Tuesday is gonna be the day. No update on ROC. Would have hoped that I'll get an approval in the days leading up to the interview or at least a notice that the case was transferred to the LFO. I did my duty by uploading the combo interview request so we'll see I guess.

Just to update. It took a bit over six weeks to get a notice and my biometrics were reused.

I hope there's no question about naming all 50 states? I'm yet to go through this process in the future 😅
Luckily not 🤣
It's just odd that for the most part it's very clear and specified and suddenly these oddballs without instructions. I'm left unsupervised 😭😅

Just one asnwer you need to know. For example, when asked about federal holidays, you can name Independence Day.
For that question they actually say how many they want to hear, but there are some oddballs where it's not specified. Leave it to USCIS to keep it interesting till the last minute 🙄😅
But I'll go with one answer like you said and just hope for the best 🙂

Question for everyone who already had their interview or everyone who happens to know. I'm learning for the civics test and some questions have like 3 different answers ( question 2, what does the constitution do? ), but the question doesn't say 'name one or two'. Do I need to know all answers or still just one of them even tho the answers are different?

Hi everyone,
Planning to file N-400 online soon. Originally received GC 8 years ago based on marriage to USC.
1. Shall I just apply under General 5 year category or 3 year marriage category? what are the pros and cons?
2. If I go by 5 year rule, I can only find last 4 years tax transcript online IRS. How do I get one for the last 5th year? Will any other IRS doc or tax return work for the 5th year?
3. At the end of online N-400, what docs you submitted in EVIDENCE for 5 year category?
Thanks in advance.
Definitely 5 year rule since you will only need the basics and none of the marriage evidence.
You can call the irs hotline and order transcripts.

Letspaintcookies, how do you know that Mount Laurel does same day oath? I checked online but couldn't find any information.
There are a bunch of Google reviews that say so and I found it on pages from local immigration lawyers. Might not be up to date I'll admit.
