  1. Background and immigration status: Myself: Pakistani Citizen Wife: US citizen We have applied for I-130, awaiting approval Filing date: Feb 2023 Currently both are residing in Pakistan for past 1.5 years We recently had a son in Pakistan. He was born at a hospital in Islamabad. My residential address is within Rawalpindi Chaklala Cantonment area. I am going to apply for CBRA for my son. They require birth certificate from hospital and union council/cantonment etc. I have the hospital birth certificate with all the details include my residential address. I went to my cantonment board office and they said they only issue birth certificates to births within their area. Since the hospital is in Islamabad, they can't issue one. I went to the union council office that covers the location of the hospital. They mentioned since my residential address is outside Islamabad, they will not issue a birth certificate. I have tried my best to explain my case to them but they have their rules and are not willing to change them. They have presented me with the following two options: - Chaklala cantonment says I can mention the birth at home. In this case they will mention the district of birth as Rawalpindi and mention my house address in the address column of the birth certificate - Islamabad UC says if I can furnish a proof of residence in Islamabad they will issue me a certificate with district as Islamabad and mention that residence address of Islamabad in the address column of the birth certificate Now both these options have incorrect information. Although nowhere on the certificate it states home birth etc. but the district will say Rawalpindi whereas the hospital certificate mentions the hospital address is in Islamabad. If I get the district correct from Islamabad UC, the address will be incorrect and will not match with the address on the hospital issue birth certificate. My question: Has anyone run into this issue before? Does it really matter if the district of birth is based on your home address rather than the address of the hospital? Will it create issues with my CBRA application?
