LisaLisa got a reaction from Bladeness in Adjustment of Status - Detroit field office
Look at the instructions for I-485. You need all kinds of documents that proof that you are eligible to Adjust your status under the category that you have. For example you got married to a US citizen. You have to
1. Prove they are a USC (birth certificate, naturalization certificate, passport etc)
2 Prove that you are married (certified copy of your marriage license from vital records)
3 Prove that is a real bona fide marriage (photos, letters, lease, bank statements, credit cards etc)
4 Prove that you are who you are who you claim you are (birth certificate, ID, passport, EAD card etc)
5 Prove you came here legally (visas, past passports, I-94)
I think you get the concept of what they are asking you for. In your application you made a lot of claims and you provided supporting documents. Now in the interview you will be required to substantiate your claims with more evidence. Where i stand from it is important to being everything with you. As many documents as you can old ID, passports, letters, photos, everything that supports all those clams that you made in your application. Keep in mind that the main intention of the interview is to examine if you marriage is legitimate so put emphasis on bona fide evidence.

LisaLisa got a reaction from rye_212 in MARCH 2019 - AOS Filers
It's nice to see all the March filers gathered up. Just a few dates to keep in mind.
1. There is many people September 2018 filers still waiting for EAD/AP
2. My combo card came 160 days from my application
3. The fact that your case changes status to interview is red to be scheduled doesn't mean anything waiting times vary by field office
4. Waiting times have sky rocketed and keep going up every single month
5. Be patient there isn't much you can do

LisaLisa got a reaction from Soul Mate in November 2018 AOS Filers
This is a stressful situation for everyone and it happens that you see August filers mad at September filers for getting approved, September filers mad with October filers for getting approved and goes on. I insist telling everyone that this is not a fair process that can be explained. I am waiting for my interview in Detroit a person that has the same date with me filed March 4th has bio-metrics March 20th and he is having an interview the same date with me. There is nothing fair about it and it is crazy that he is already scheduled in the beginning it got me all riled up but it is not their fault that's how this system works.

They have lost something the majority of us are loading our packets either way with documents that are not even required. The majority of the time the lose in their warehouses. Look a these pics straight out of their website. This is like straight old school paper based bureaucracy. Where I stand from you got an RFE they noticed something you send it in and you are ok. It is better than being lost for months and wondering why its been 24 months and you are still waiting. Frustrating but better.
Btw I can't help to notice the box at the bottom that says status stuff ahahahah OMG

LisaLisa got a reaction from Chocobo in from B-2 to adjust status
What you are doing is not illegal. It is unethical and they know you came here with your B2 to get married. They a lot of controversy about it here because K1 people go through hell to come here and you kind of skipped the line so you can imagine. However, you need to prepare things have changed during this administration and they might make you go through a lot of questions to prove all this was legitimate.

I've still 18 days to go til I get to 150 days LOL!! But loving the positivity. My timeline now shows a mere prediction from next week onwards for the next 2 weeks (which is open-ended). I was initially predicted late April/Early May so dramatic decrease LOL. It'll be interesting to see if it's accurate, of course understanding it's only a guide. I think some expedites have made it decrease quite a bit though

LisaLisa got a reaction from junkmart in from B-2 to adjust status
I was looking at your timeline and it is interesting. Did you have a boyfriend that lived in the US before you moved here? In that case if you haven't disclosed that during the interview that might considered fraud. You know F-1 is a nonmmigrant visa which mean that you have to prove that you had intention to go back at the time of application. Read the ombudsman report they deny a lot of visas on the fact that they are examining the legitimacy of their visas at the initial entry. I doubt they would have granted you an F-1 if they knew your long time boyfriend lived in the US.
