  1. Hello Everyone,

I have been reading everyone's post every day for the past 4 months and this is a great community. Taking in consideration that what we all want care about here (our processing time). After reading all the different forums and thousands of posts I think that no one really knows. I see in my local office timeline a person says 2 months after filling got an interview. Some other people in the chat talk about 17 months and nothing they are still within processing time. I think we are treating this process as something standard but it is not. I only remember the ton of paper I send in and the fact that there must be like 4-5 pounds of paper in there. For example on the phone USCIS told me that my fingerprints background check was finished in 2 days. The majority of people in this chat say that their status says Fingerprint fee received after 150 days. I dont want to sound like a pessimist but this is the process that we have to go through follow up weekly with calls to make sure everything is in line. Check updates online and in a few months or even a year this will be just a memory.

  2. Hello Everyone,

I requested to expedite my EAD card on Friday 15th based on the fact that I have a job and will will be terminated if the current EAD expires. The next business day they asked me to fax letter from employer and I did. However, in difference with others here they didn't ask for general documents or evidence they specifically asked for employer letter that support my claim. I send it in through fax twice and it went through right away to NBC. Also on the email they included the specific number number agent number division and team number. They also requested that I include their email with the employer letter that I faxed in.

  3. Hello Everyone,

So filed office you can find online on USCIS by putting in your zip code. Then it will show you where you will be assigned. If you are in Michigan good news then your field office is Detroit. Also your filed office is where you bio-metrics where done. Now for the EAD no one knows other say they never get it and go straight to the interview. Others get in in 4-6 months. It all really depends.

  4. Hello Everyone,

I applied for my aos application on Nov 1st haven't heard back from EAD or I-485 since the bio-metrics appointment. Based on everyone's timeline on this website it shows that average time is 4-5 months. I do not agree with that timeline at all it seems like it will take 6-7 months for GC. I would love to hear from more people from Detroit field office in order to create a more comprehensive understanding of current timelines.
