Send the letter. Make sure it's certified mail. It only costs a few bucks, but it sends a signal.

Every advise I've given is what I did personally. In fact, I was even more aggressive. First, I sent them a message every 2 weeks after my initial interview via the USCIS website (same message, copy & paste, with just the timelines changed). They responded by saying the Field Office would be notified. On Day 90 I sent them the letter. Certified mail. I also contacted my Congress rep, and began to prepare to file a lawsuit on Day 121. 2 weeks later I got a call from the USCIS officer. Case resolved.

The common error people make is to treat USCIS like a person. They're a bureaucracy, and they're swamped. If your case slips by for one reason or another, you could experience severe delays. It's not personal. You need to know the law/policy, and then force them to act when the law is on your side.

Can u please give me a example of letter I should send?

I didn’t contact my congressman office. From what I heard usually you get the same answer you get when you file a case out of processing time.

I filed 2 cases out of processing time and got a response to wait for 90 days. I also sent a letter to the IO letting him know ( in case he didn’t know) that I got the ROC approved. And I didn’t get any letters from USCIS regarding background check or RFE

My entire case was not out of processing time but it turned that way 3weeks ago. I’m just waiting two more weeks for the 90 days to expire.

I’ll submit a new one soon, if I get the same answer, I’ll probably send a letter to the director of the office, if I don’t hear something different, I’ll seek a legal action against USCIS.

Do u know what’s processing time for ROC?It has been almost 2 years since I applied.

I don’t want to disappoint you but I had the same situation and my ROC got approved 2.5 months after the N400 interview and N400 is still pending till this moment ( it’s been over 7 months) all what I get from them is still under processing.

Good news is I have seen people with the same situation got approved in few weeks. So I hope you won’t be delayed as me!

Did u try to contact congressmen office for help?

As others have said, expect your N-400 to be delayed until the ROC has been approved. USCIS has 120 days from interview to make a decision on the N-400. If I were you, I'd use this a way to nudge action on the ROC. After 30/60/90 days after your interview, ask your Congressional rep to follow-up on the ROC, as it appears to be delaying approval of your N-400.

I send my ROC almost 2 years ago

As noted, it is impossible (without there being a mistake) to approve the N-400 before the I-751. Successfully removing conditions is a requirement for your naturalization.

All who I knew with the same pending I 751 was approved on the spot or the next few days after n 400 interview

  6. I had my interview today , he wasn’t very friendly and said he  needs to go through all my papers (I have pending I 751)and it takes longer then usual.I thought they have to review it before they have interview...I feel like he  personally didn’t like me for whatever reasons and wanna give me hard time. Now I am afraid that my application will stuck .
