yvaine reacted to payxibka in CEAC status:No Status...what does it mean?
On the nonimmigrant tracker you use the ds160 number. On the immigrant tracker you use your MNL#

If 2Go tells you the status they have is in transit then your passport has left the big house to your house. No need to worry. If you need confirmation follow payxibka's instructions.

You pay PSA to run his name in their CENOMAR database. It will come up with no record and they will give you that print out. He could also go to the US Embassy and get a notarized copy of an Affidavit In Lieu of a Certificate of Legal Capacity to Contract Marriage. It's a worthless self-sworn copy that you pay $50 for but there's no way for the embassy to know if you're lying or not. It's just a money grab.
But I don't know why they would give you a 221G for not having that.

Right, it really doesn't make sense. If the USC petitioner's marital history is being questioned, the CENOMAR and affidavit from the US embassy in Manila really can only prove he wasn't married in the Philippines.

Something came up in the interview I suspect that was suspicious to the CO about the USC's prior Filipino relationship and hence the call for a CENOMAR. It has happened before but it's so rare. @user555 has the solution. That will satisfy the CO and the 221(g).

yvaine reacted to Hank_ in Will my fiance k1 visa petition be affected if he file a bankruptcy
A bankruptcy won't have any effect on the visa process. For financial support evidence the embassy looks gross income as noted on the tax return .. not personal finances.

Take the NOA2 and run, seriously I would think that the NOA2 would be the real deal as USCIS just doesn't give those out to be giving them out. Congrats...

It's not unusual for processes not to sync properly. I'm thinking that your were on your way to receiving a RFE and your file was flagged but the adjudicator changed their mind and approved your case and didn't remove the flag on your status. The important item is your NOA2 which is your application approval.

I got a message saying their system will be down for repair until Monday. Im not sure if that plays a part. Also on other forums people have said the same and the response is the system is sometimes slow. Hope this helps
