Why would we do that? Of course not.

It's not. But I see your point.

Do you plan to inform the IO of this plan at the adjustment of status interview? IMHO, your current marriage could easily be seen as a marriage strictly for immigration benefits.  If you have to remove conditions later, it could be heavily scrutinized then, too, imo. In fact, I would expect heavy scrutiny. Then, it can be looked at again at naturalization.

**Thread cleaned up due to derailment and speculation. Some countries have their own specific issues that might not make sense in other countries. Let's stick to the topic of Ukraine and fake fathers on BC and not get off topic please. OP is still at the beginning stages and given that Ukraine has known issues with this let's see if there's a solution before assuming the situation is hopeless. **

**Topic moved from K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures to RUB regional forum as problem is country specific**

While I agree with pretty much everything you’ve said my K2’s are here and we didn’t have any documents from their mother giving permission. Not even a hand written letter. My husband has always had full physical custody of the children but nothing ever legalized. They weren’t given a DNA test or anything. They just asked if their mother is aware they were moving and that was it. We are going to get something official just in case it comes up later though. I think it’s just at the discretion off the officer.

Maybe it is consulate specific or it’s possible they are using the same checklist for K1 and CR1 so the if applicable would apply. I sure hope someone who has been through that embassy responds so you can be certain. It wouldn’t hurt to take it if you have it readily available

We had our expedite granted because I was scheduled for hernia surgery. I just had to submit a letter from my doctor verifying my diagnosis and that I needed to have surgery as soon as possible. It took about 2 weeks to approve.

    NO.

Your wife did NOT become a permanent resident UNTIL SHE ENTERED THE US. Which is 2 weeks ago. So your wife was not a LPR in 2019. So she does not qualify for a stimulus check.

She’s on the birth certificate I would assume so she can go to the courthouse and pay $25 and receive a copy directly through them  without going though the ex husband. Some states will even allow you to order online

As someone who interviewed at the Kingston embassy, i suggest you just prepare for the interview (go over questions with your fiance, have your paperwork in line) and just make sure you are ready when the time comes.

Some say you only need one, I had three. One for each application. The AOS, the EAD and the AP.
The only requirement is the marriage certificate but if you already have more you can send it

Hi there, I read through this entire thread and it seems pretty obvious that you didn’t really know what the AOS process is and how it works. I’m sorry you got a denial, However, I’m pretty sure they didn’t send an RFIE because there was simply too much stuff missing. It seems scary to you because you don’t have enough information so let me help you out a little: NO need to file within 90 days, the only requirement is to get married within 90 days, which you did, so you’re all good  don’t worry you won’t get deported! However, you will have to reapply. There’s a really good guide on VJ to get you started. Please note: there is a new form that needs to be included as well (others in this thread mentioned it before)- your AOS application when done right will be A LOT of pages.. mine was 104 for example without any additional stuff that wasn’t explicitly needed. Read through the instructions and make an informed decision whether you or your husband can assemble a complete application or if you might want to get help from a lawyer. Or maybe you have a nice friend who is very good with paperwork?  Anyways, I hope this helps. Again: no need to be scared, but you’ll have to put some work in this

Almostthere08 got a reaction from George Judea in New I-1944 Form...Anyone Sent It In W/O Rejection or RFE?
Everything should be for the beneficiary who is now the actual petitioner. If the petitioner is a new immigrant they may not have credit history or anything but you have to try to get a letter from the credit bureau that says he doesn’t have a credit file. The only thing that’s really about the US citizen is the I-864. The US citizen fills that out and attaches the supporting documents(tax return transcripts, w-2’s, pay check stubs, letter of employment etc to establish that they meet the 125% poverty level.

DO NOT WAIT until getting married before getting the ssn. Go to the SSA Office.  Get it in the first two weeks of being here.  Absolutely get it done. If will save tons of hassle later.

How does someone accidentally cancel your AOS payment? Are you sure your stepfather is on board this time? You don't want him to "accidentally" withdraw the I-864 later...

Texas=no alimony and you can finalize the divorce 60 days after filing and can be remarried 30 days after the divorce is final. So roughly a little over 3 months. I would get it on it and file as soon as possible so the clock can start ticking.
