MarryMe987654 got a reaction from Tinskee in US Embassy Manila PH - Waiting Visa interview Schedule for Parent of US Citizen
Similar timeline to the OP. Waiting on IL now. We've been DQ'd since May 29. I recently requested an expedite based on financial hardship, hoping that my mother could attend my graduation in May next year, but that was not approved. I will try again in a few weeks with a medical reason since I've recently been sick and can use the doctor's note as evidence.
Good luck to us!

MarryMe987654 got a reaction from XAVIER13 in Parent for interview (filer I-130)
@waraywarayakoCongratulations! What's your timeline like? When did you file for your parent? I filed for mine in April 2023 and status says still reviewing. Thanks!

My recently uploaded documents were accepted and I am now DQ. My CEAC status says "At NVC". I received an email about NVC scheduling an appointment and awaiting further instruction.

Received an email and a text message from USCIS saying an action has been taken on my case. Logged in to my account to find approval notice under the documents tab. The case status still shows actively reviewing and progress still shows taking longer.
I-130 filed online for parent.
Date filed : 04/11/2023
Approved : 04/16/2024

Got my approval today.
Checked the status and it says that it's still being reviewed but noticed that the date changed to today, April 9. Signed in to my USCIS account to see an approval file uploaded under documents.
Yay!

MarryMe987654 reacted to BowGurl in Health Insurance for parents over 70
My Mom lived here in Maryland (Montgomery County) for 5 years without insurance. She used to go to a community clinic and they gave her medications for her diabetes and high blood pressure for free. I only paid $15 per visit and the clinic referred her to specialists when she had kidney stones (gastroenterologist and other specialists I can't remember). Mammogram, colonoscopy and MRI were also free. She just needed to fill out a form saying she did not have any income. The clinic was "funded" by Catholic Charities. You should check with your local community clinic and explain your situation.

Hello!
Yesterday, April 5th, I went to my N400 interview, passed, and took the oath at the same day. It was worth the 3 hour drive from Pensacola to Montgomery. We were up early for my 8 AM appointment, slept in the parking space to wait for the oath ceremony at 11:30 AM and was home by 4 PM. We celebrated by taking home some Popeye's chicken! 😊
Last night, I finished the petition for my mom online. And today, I applied for my U.S. passport.
Thank you for all the help and support from this community!

MarryMe987654 got a reaction from Adventine in Philippines passport renewal
CFO does not need to be renewed.
A Filipina only has to do it once in her life—when she leaves the Philippines as an immigrant traveler for the very first time. It doesn't matter if she is traveling on an EAD/AP combo card.
