We didn't submit any proof with our request, just a detailed email sent to NVCExpedite@state.gov, explaining our situation and they approved it. we sent our request on June 6th and got an approval on the 18th. If you have anything to show as proof such as unemployment benefits, loss of job/termination letter, tax statement or something to support your request you can attach that with your email, otherwise they will request anything they need from you before reviewing/approving the request. Does anyone know when the embassy on Mars will reopen? Have they even got the news yet? Trying to get my bride here on the little used ET-1 visa.

We’re DQ but since I (the petitioner) am also waiting for my citizenship interview, I don’t expect us to be scheduled for the IV interview anytime soon given the current suspension of our visa class... Until then, I’m here to follow experiences and cheer for all of you 😄

6/29 I submitted an e-mail inquiry to the Embassy asking about potential reopening dates and if spouse/family visas would be prioritized in light of the Presidential Proclamations, etc.  
6/29 10AM  Received form letter email back from Embassy saying they were still closed, reopening unknown, etc. - But to provide case information for "quick resolution" when they *DID* reopen
6/29 8:37PM Responded and provided requested info.
6/29 8:46PM Wife (Beneficiary) called me to tell me that the Embassy had just called her and set her up for an interview on 7/02. (!!!!!!!!!!)
6/29 (Later)  Received written email confirmation indicating that our "request for an expedited interview" had been approved with the date and time.  (We didn't ask for this, but are certainly glad.)
 
Of note, one of the questions they asked in the auto response was the date of her medical, which was in February (therefore expiring in August.)  Perhaps the upcoming expiration of that medical prompted them to consider an expedite.
 
Either way, we're excited, nervous, but ready.  We've been ready.  I'll update as the situation warrants.
 
We owe a great debt of gratitude to many folks in this forum who have provided guidance and insight - albeit sometimes more comical than useful.   Thank you.
 

Hi guys, today my wife got her interview at the HCMC consulate in Vietnam as well. The interview was also quick and went well for us. I'm so happy! I wish you all luck and hopefully embassies/consulates around the world will open soon for you guys as well!

Anyone here from Pakistan recently get an interview? We just got our case approved at NVC for expedited interview, they sent the case to the consulate and it's showing ready on CEAC. Wondering if the Embassy will contact us after they resume normal operation or since it was approved by them for an expedite if they will schedule it sooner. Praying inshaAllah they contact us soon. I even updated our information on the CGI site and tried to schedule an interview but it says no appointments currently available at Islamabad.

We are so happy. Interview scheduled at the Belgrade embassy in Serbia on July 21!

We also got an interview for July 27 in Madrid, Spain ☺️!

I’m happy to share to this group that I have received my interview appointment today and my schedule is on July 24!
I have been following and reading comments here in Visa Journey which somehow has been a great tool and encouragement for me. 
We filed on August 2019, got our NOA2 - May 12 2020 and NVC on the next day. Documentarily qualified on June 4 and received interview appointment from NVC today, June 23. We checked our NVC case status too and it did say At NVC still.  Oh well, it doesn’t matter! 
 I don’t know if it helped but I did send  an email to NVC.state.gov/inquiry and US Consulate Singapore last Friday. In my email I was politely inquiring matters pertaining to these USA Government offices if they have worked on my case. 
I feel very lucky to have found Visa Journey. Cheers!

Latest from Madrid, Spain... We just got our visa appointment scheduled for July 28!!!

I did not intend this to be a political post. Also, if what I learned in 7th grade history class is still correct, the State Department is apart of the Executive Branch. The President of the United States is the head of the Executive Branch and appoints the Secretary of State who is in charge of carrying out and implementing the President's foreign policy. 

Thanks for the info, very helpful. But I still don’t understand how USCIS can open here in America when we have the highest number of cases yet other countries who have way less have to go thru a Phase period. 🧐🤔

That’s the very same email I got, copy and paste. I feel that they just quickly look thru the email to see what we want and just slap an automated email as a response. As far as emailing the embassy directly, in my experience it won’t help. I emailed them after NVC said no and the embassy just sent me a automated response saying I need to contact NVC....... even though I had already said that in my email 🙄🤦🏻‍♂️ . As far as reviewing documents it’s nothing to worry about, they told me the same thing. 
Honestly I’m gonna do another request in 2 weeks. I find it absurd that groups of 60 thousand people can protest and thousands not wearing a mask and the government will allow them that constitutional right, yet we can’t get an interview between 3 people and bring our family home. (FYI I support non violent protest so please don’t turn this into a “how dare you not support the cause” kinda thing.) Also it irritates me that some people have emailed some embassies as the IS citizen saying they need an emergency passport just to get in and once in there they ask for the embassy to do the interview for their spouse. (that’s what I was told). 
 

Hopefully we will star to hear about  interviews this month! 🙏🏻🤞🏻

last submission was on January 29th. I’m so happy! Finally this hurdle is done with and now onto the wait for embassies to open up and be appointed interview

Anyone getting interview scheduled email? I know the embassy/consulate are still closed. But I received an email from NVC stating that my interview is scheduled for May 11th. 

If anyone can get thru to the NVC overt he phone it'd be nice to hear what they say about scheduling appts.
How do those who got interviews canceled rescheduled? Does the NVC do it for them, do they schedule themselves?
Are they automatically at the front of the line? So many questions lol

Its true unfortunately

We just got DQ'd this morning. Originally uploaded Documents and submitted the IV application on Feb 23rd. We had a major mistake on the application(incorrect applicant name entered) that was our fault so we had to contact NVC and get a supervisor review done to open the application back and correct the mistake, they said it will take 6 weeks to review but a few days later they re-opened it and we fixed it, not sure if it was under supervisor review that caused our case to get DQ'd a few days later but we are so very happy Alhumdulilah! God is great!
 
Now on to the stress about the public charge rule and hope the interview will go smoothly. I did upload the DS-5540 at NVC like on Feb 28th and will take an updated one to the interview with more information and supporting documents if they need. Good luck to all of you!
