LilyJ got a reaction from Hilde in Case Complete (DQ) to Interview September 2020
Yes, they have to refuse the visa until the medical gets to them, then they can approve it. They can't approve it officially until they get the medical

LilyJ got a reaction from JamKid in I-130 February 2020 Filers
That’s just where majority of filers go in general; it’s the most backlogged for a reason
Something others say on this site about the service centers being kind of like this: grab a die, write Nebraska on 5 sides, Texas on 1, and if you accidentally drop the die, then you maybe get Potomac

My husband just had his medical this morning in Copenhagen! Pretty standard, he said it took about an hour, he did have to get 2 vaccines (a second MMR vaccine and TDAP booster shot) but other than that, all clear Ready for the interview next week!!

She never got to Schengen/Paris. They would not let her board the plane in Tunisia.

I just paid the IV fee online after getting my passport back. I didn't get a slip with details about how to pay the IV fee. I just went to https://my.uscis.gov/uscis-immigrant-fee, entered my A-Number (Registration Number on the visa) and DOS Case ID (IV Case Number on the visa) and followed the instructions on the site from there.
My flight is booked for September 25th to El Paso via Dallas FW, leaving from London Heathrow. If anyone else happens to be leaving from Heathrow that day drop me a message and we can rant about how stressful this process is while we wait for our flights 😂
I can barely believe I'm typing this, but after nearly two years since our NOA1, I can actually say WE'RE DONE with the IR1 process!
I honestly would've made a 100 more mistakes than I already did without the lovely, helpful and supportive members on this site 💙
Now I can relax for a few years before having to worry about naturalisation 😪🤣

My husband attended his interview at the London Embassy today and our visa is officially approved! It feels very surreal, apparently he was in and out of the embassy within 30 minutes and the interview portion only lasted about 5 minutes! I haven't gotten all of the details as he was desperate to get out of the city but he did tell me the questions they asked him:
When did you meet? How did you meet? How often have you visited each other? Why did you decide to get married? Have you considered what you'll do for work in the US? Are you looking forward to living in Delaware? At first the officer asked him about me living in Connecticut but I have never even visited that state, much less lived there. Not sure if the officer was confused about Delaware being its own state (which wouldn't surprise me, most people only know about Delaware from Wayne's World) or if this was to test my husband's knowledge of where I live.

LilyJ got a reaction from NikLR in Immunizations
This link is a tad more accurate, this one is what vaccines are required specifically for immigration by age (some of the yellow ones on there like zoster and HPV are not required for immigration at any age despite being yellow for some ages on the recommended vaccines link you sent)
https://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/pdf/Vaccine-Requirements-According-to-Applicant-Age.pdf
Put simply though yes OP only needs MMR (or proof of having had them), varicella (or proof of having had it), and TDAP, plus the flu shot if it's during flu season (October 1-March 31)

No you don't need those, the beneficiary only needs to bring the birth certificates and photocopies of the birth certificates of the beneficiary's biological children

You can always start the process asap, and then drag your feet at NVC later if you decide to enter after 2 years of marriage if the process goes "too fast"

It is a 10 year green card if your spouse enters the US on or before your 2nd wedding anniversary, 2 year conditional if she enters before the 2nd wedding anniversary. It's based on date of entry. The process can take 12-18 months and keep in mind the visa will only be valid for 6 months

"The August 12, 2020, decision did not impact the July 29, 2020, district court order granting an injunction that enjoins the government from implementing, or taking any actions to enforce or apply, the 2018 FAM Revisions, the DOS Interim Final Rule on Visa Ineligibility on Public Charge Grounds (84 FR 54996, 10/11/19), or the President’s October 4, 2019 Proclamation, Suspension of Entry of Immigrants Who Will Financially Burden the United States Healthcare System in Order to Protect the Availability of Healthcare Benefits for Americans (84 FR 53991, 10/9/19) during the COVID-19 pandemic."
The block on the DOS rule for consular processing is still in place
