My I-130 was approved today on August 19, 2020.
I did not receive any E-MAIL notification. My case was moved only once on August 7th.
(Good luck everyone, and will receive good news as soon as possible!)
Is the next step to wait for NVC's notification?

We are probably one of the last ones left in this thread at this point... But finally, almost 18 months later, we are approved! Anyone else that's still waiting in here, don't worry.. you will get there soon

Hi Everyone! My husband just had his interview. We are approved, just waiting on the medical exam results. We got it done on Aug 20th, so it should hopefully arrive soon!

Anyway, my husband arrived about 20 minutes early, and was asked to wait outside for 5 minutes for another staff worker to come. Once inside, he did the security screening. He said you are allowed to have anything but a laptop. They took his phone and placed it in a slot, and gave him a tag to retrieve it. After that, he waited 5-10 mins before being called to the counter. The woman asked for his: personbevis (counts as his birth certificate and our marriage license since we got married in Sweden), police certificate, financial documents (both I-864 from me and our joint sponsor, and only our joint sponsor's taxes), and proof of relationship. He said the woman also asked him how we met, and who the joint sponsor was, but this wasn't part of the interview. The documents were scanned and returned to him.

Lastly, after waiting another 5-10 minutes, he was called to the next window where the CO was training someone. He was asked:

    Where does your spouse live?
    How did you meet?
    How did the relationship start?
When was the last time you met?

They also asked a few questions about his last visit to the US because apparently there were notes added to his file (he was here in March when the pandemic started) but it did not relate to the interview. The CO was just confused about why the notes were there.

All in all, it took about 45 min between the time he entered and left the building.

    Hello,

Final update:  Issued on 26 Aug 2020:

    😀

Spoke with my wife.  She said that at then end of the interview (on 20 AUG) the CO handed her a letter stating that she was approved and will get her visa in 5 working days.  I forgot that 24 AUG was a holiday in Ukraine, so it took them 3 working days to issue the visa.  I think the courier service takes a day, so she should be able to pick up her passport on 28 AUG.

One last hurdle - getting her on a plane.  She wants to stay a few weeks to celebrate family members' birthdays and such.  I would like her to board a plane on Friday evening.)))  But I understand.   It's been 6 months since we were together, a few more weeks shouldn't hurt.  (knock on wood).

Also btw - a lawyer isn't required, I recommend saving that money to visit each other during the process instead. For most people, lawyers are a waste of time for this process, unless there is a criminal background involved

My husband just had his interview, his medical has not arrived yet but otherwise he is approved! Btw, we did not bring a DS5540, and they did not ask for one, due to the current court block on the 2019 DOS public charge criteria

I have that exact same problem that i just found out.  We are IR1 going to Bangkok Embassy for interview.  The Bangkok embassy is open and doing limited interviews as has everyone has been talking about lately.  We have been waiting 8 weeks now just for an interview date.  Well its not going to happen.  NVC is closed.  The embassy in Bangkok may be open, but the NVC has suspended interviews for regular immigration services.(not scheduling interviews with the embassies). Sooo...we are stuck floating between agencies. Sounds like you may be as well. 😑

Thank you! Also yes but a residency card is also a form of ID, he doesn’t have any kind of photo ID, at all, not even a drivers license, other than his passport, so he had no choice but to take it with him since you need to be able to present some form of photo ID to get on the plane (we saw about trying to get him a national ID but they don’t have pictures on those so it wasn’t an option)

    APPROVED!!!!🇺🇸🍾

    highlights:
    * in and out in 30 mins.
    * only asked for my DS-260, courier services, passport, pass photo’s, marriage/birth/police certificates
    * asked me how me and my hubby met, how serious we were after we met and when he moved in with me.

    done!:)

Interview today in Amsterdam, successful other than refusal for the medical not in the system yet ( 2 full weeks after the exam).

    Frustrating, but done.

Experience was as most have said, very quick in and out, just a few basic questions about our relationship.

    Good luck to everyone else!

Three weeks is a timeline from the olden days.. It takes a couple months in general for them to review from the time you submit these days, but it isn't a set-in-stone thing. They're a little weird, some cases get viewed way sooner than others and some way later

Thank you! I hope you'll get yours soon as well  Ours was just a routine interview, spousal visas are now being processed as normal in Stockholm since they are mission critical cases, I'm not sure about the status of K1s at Stockholm right now.. We got caught up in it too, we originally had an interview scheduled for April 1, but it got cancelled 2 weeks before due to all the embassies shutting down, it took almost 5 months for us to get an interview scheduled again, we've been apart 10 months now 😢

My husband just got approved! His medical had not arrived yet (he only got it done 8 days ago) but that's okay, he needs his passport to travel back to Denmark so I assume the medical will have arrived by the time his passport gets to the embassy. So beyond happy!! Finally we are done 18 months later
I haven't gotten the chance to call him since he needed to catch his flight back home, but I will let you all know the specifics when I get to talk to him
