I am right behind you we submitted Sept. 21st, hopefully one more month and we can be done with NVC. 
But also loving this movement after being discouraged with their 2/3 day movements this 7 day movement gives hopes!!!!!

We submitted our final documents on 15 Sep so we still have a good month to go, but I am liking this movement a lot! 

YES!!! Another week of progress - I submitted on Aug 25th so hoping I will get a response later this week or at the latest early next week!
 

Hopefully that'll be the case for me. I can't wait for tomorrow's case processing update to see if they are processing more than 1 week at a time

This is good to know!  My husband also filed for an extension, we submitted his 1040 tax return + 1099s for year 2020 (and previous 3 years transcripts). 
 
Do you think you'll have your 2020 transcript ready for the interview? This is something I was worried about, as I read several stories of the embassy asking for up to date transcripts at the interview stage. I don't think we will have transcripts ready as the IRS is super backlogged for paper filed returns.

Hello everyone!! I resubmitted Oct 7th. I know this is September submission but I want to keep track. 

Ah, found the September group. We submitted on Sept. 8th. Just saw people getting approved from Aug. 12 and 19th, so hopefully less than 4 weeks now!

FINALLY!!!!!  Our 2020 Return Transcript is finally available.  It shows up in the Account Transcript now too.  No 'actual' return yet, but the Account Transcript shows the return issued plus $206 in interest oddly postdated to November 10.  Maybe that's when I would really get it?  But in any case it seems that things are wrapping up successfully, if not somewhat belatedly.  My wife received her Social Security Number in the mail this Monday so the ITIN she received becomes moot.  Still worth the effort for the more than $10,000 extra return we will receive as married filing jointly.
 
So to recap our timeline to date.
May 5, 2021 Filed W-7, Federal Taxes, and California State taxes by ordinary first class mail. May 11, 2021 California State acknowledged the filing in my California FTB online account. May 22, 2021 California State showed my return as authorized and scheduled for direct deposit. May 27, 2021 California State return direct deposited into my checking account. Aug 26, 2021 Received ITIN and original document returned by IRS. Oct 21, 2021 Return acknowledged "Where's My Refund?" Nov 5, 2021  Return Transcript becomes available online.  Account transcript shows return.

Interview yesterday morning and approved 🎉

Notice regarding your Immigrant Visa Case becoming Documentarily Qualified   
  The National Visa Center (NVC) received all of the fees, forms, and documents that are required prior to attending an immigrant visa interview at a U.S. Embassy/Consulate General overseas.
NVC will work with the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in MUMBAI (BOMBAY), IND to schedule an interview appointment for you. Once we have confirmed an interview date, we will send a notice to you, your petitioner and attorney (if applicable).

Just closing the loop on this one. I emailed the London embassy email address on the green form they gave me this morning and advised that I had spoken to visa medicals and that they had sent my medical over. I got a reply 30 minutes later saying that they had received my medical and passed my case over to a case officer. An hour later my case was in administrative processing and 30 minutes later it was in issued. Thanks for the input all!

I got DQ'ed today. Our first and only submission was August 10th!  Good Luck everyone!

Bit of a random question, but I am just wondering when you go for an interview do they ask you for the photos you are required to bring or just take new ones of you there?
 
For the medical it asks to bring 4 passport photos, however on the day they didn't ask for them and just took a picture of me on the day. 
 
Reason I ask is I am meant to do Movember and grow a moustache for charity, but my wife doesn't want me to have a moustache on my greencard picture if they take it on the day 😂.

I really don’t think we’ll have the 2020 tax transcript by the time the interview comes around.  The IRS said to give them 6 weeks for mailed in tax returns but it’s been almost 3 months.  I usually file online but I wasn’t about to pay $100+ for a refund of only $70.00. LOL

I honestly don’t know if they want them separated or not.  Mine were already saved as separate PDFs so that’s how I uploaded them.  I know a lot of ppl are receiving RFEs for w2/1099s so I added those to each tax transcript file just to be safe.  I also haven’t received my 2020 tax transcript yet because I filed for an extension so I provided a copy of my 1040, w2, proof of extension and proof of mailing my tax forms. I also included like 4-5 recent pay stubs. I may have gone overboard but I didn’t want them to have any reason to send it back lol

Just got DQ'd about 30 minutes ago!!!!  We're proof that you don't always go to the back of the line if you submit documents *before* they initially review your case.  Good luck to everyone!

Hi Ashish, it would help you try and search for your answer or read through some of the threads, as this has been discussed before. 
 
Generally speaking, you shouldn't need to submit W2/1099 if you submit the tax return transcript, but in some cases you do (for example when sponsor filed taxes jointly but only one person from the couple is sponsoring), but we have seen many cases on here where even though the W2/1099 should not be needed, the NVC still send a RFE asking for all W2/1099 to be submitted. It seems they are working to a checklist and if there is no W2/1099 or an explanation as to why there is none they will ask for it. 

Whether this means you should re-submit and go back to the end of the queue is your call, on one hand you may be fine on the other hand you may have to re-submit. 

I uploaded my documents to CEAC twice and the embassy told me to email them to them as they couldn't see them, so I did.
 
I still had issues with my father-in-laws tax return showing up in the system, and they didn't have one of my police checks either. I took an absolute mountain of copies (along with the originals) and I handed the missing ones over to the officer. No problems at all doing that.

I don't mind at all - they asked for a W-2 and 1099 for my wife, and a 1099 form for my financial sponsor.
 
Unfortunately we don't have any of those, as my wife earned all of her 2020 income in the UK (We had already attached her pay slips, with UK address clearly shown on them) and my sponsor has not received a 1099 tax form. So we had to upload signed letters stating that we do not have the forms they are asking for.
 
Really frustrating to go to the back of line for just stating that we don't have the forms they've asked for, ESPECIALLY as I can't see any evidence of these forms being legally required if a tax transcript has been submitted. But.. you just have to bite it and move forward unfortunately.
