  1. We received an email from the Lima embassy that our case was categorized as a "modernized IV case' and to present the form to the medical office appointment. This means the exam results are sent electronically to embassy. However my wife had already taken the exam and was not aware of this distinction. We called the doctor's office today and they promised to send directly. However it apparently takes 48 hours to transmit and the interview is scheduled for this Wednesday. She intends to take a hard copy of the medical  results as a back up, but will they accept the envelope if the electronic submission has not been received by the time of interview? In other words, does 'modernized IV case' exclude  physical delivery of medical exam results?

  2. This happened to someone I know yesterday at her interview in Lima. Her attorney completed 2 DS260s, one in Spanish, one in English. The Spanish version incorrectly listed her as single (she is divorced). At the interview, she was told this had to be fixed or it would require an interview rescheduling. She was given time to correct so she walked outside and called her attorneys office in NY. The paralegal fixed Online and when she walked back, the embassy could already see that the correction was done. She was approved but what a scare.

  3. Yes, we received similar request from Lima embassy. Our marriage certificate was uploaded during NVC stage and accepted. But email from embassy states it is missing and we must “scan onto system”, which I presume means upload to CEAC. We also need to bring along the original to the interview. I replied to embassy email asking for clarification on how to upload. And I also intend to call NVC today.

  4. My wife's interview is scheduled for November 13th. The Lima embassy sent an email last week which included a request for a missing document:

(frente y reverso)

FYI - the attachment they refer to was related to AOS docs and did not include any guidance regarding 'scanning onto system'

We already uploaded our marriage certificate to CEAC during NVC stage and it was accepted. Why would they request we "scan the document onto the system"? Do they mean the online CEAC website?

She will bring the original to the interview but this is very strange

  5. Country of Origin: Peru

Filed 601a waiver in November 2018, (receipt November 6th), fingerprints processed December 13. Nebraska Service Center

Consensus across the online forums indicate the Nebraska 601A waiting time is AT LEAST 7 - 8 months.

Hopefully someone will respond with a rebuttal, but maybe wishful thinking.......

FYI - I dont think nationality has any bearing on 601A processing times.
