Alhamdulillah my visa has been issued today. Thankyou for all the support and prayers may allah swt make this process easy to everyone Ameen. 
 

There is a case in the old thread.  He was a musician and was in several countries.  He has his visa now but it was a very long wait.

But we saw people with no travel history getting DS and visas being issued around 8 to 10 months later. Allah knows what the real picture is.

After 7 whole months of AP with no updates whatsoever, our case finally changed to issued today. 
Countless useless inquires made by senators and a congressman did nothing. In May we hired a very competent lawyer who obviously did something right as suddenly we were asked to submit a new reaffirmation letter and for my fiance to redo his medical which had expired in April. So yes, lawyers do in fact work. 
Only 7 business days later our status changed to issued. Never once did we flop between ready, received, AP etc etc. 

Not a good idea, imo. You'll only be wasting your time doing so. AP has no definitive end and it will stay open as long as they need it (for background checks, reviews, etc). I'll tell you what, though, the embassy has no problems telling people no on the spot for B1/B2 visas so if you got AP it's certainly not always a bad thing. Just let it run it's course and touch base with them every few weeks or so (though they may not respond). If you read back there are a few other Lebanese appliers on this thread also waiting out their AP from 2018.

Yes.  There is a member I met on here we talk on facebook.  Her husband was in AP in Islamabad for 2 years she filed a WOM and it was returned to USCIS for not enough evidence of bonafide relationship.   The NOIR did not mention anything about not completed back ground checks which some will say on here would be the reason for the return.

Basically  uscis hold my approval and i had to go for lawusit and thats how they approve my case. 

Great idea - I just submitted a request for this under the Forums section - "Site Related Discussion".

It's forcing the embassy to make a decision not USCIS.  USCIS has already approved the petition.  Embassy places the cases in AP that has no timeline after waiting a year or two at embassy level a Writ is the only way to get things moving.   I have seen some petitions returned to USCIS as a result but lately I have seen approvals of the visa.  Not enough evidence for me as of yet to consider but it is in the back of my mind.

Family based immigrant visas or fiance visas are usually rejected cause they doubt the relationship it's tougher to convince especially in case of fiance visa. But GOD knows I believe someone else had a similar case with a different Visa category may Allah give us all good news and visas issued soon amen.

First thank you so much to everyone here. You are all ma sha allah amazing and supportive people. Thank you for your duas and kind words. They are definitely not wasted. 
 
My fiance and I were really upstet but we are calm and our hearts are at peace. I verified our situation through my senator. Anyone who is stuck in the process or may become stuck and read this, i just want you to know don't lose hope, this is a small hurdle that we will get over. There is a reason behind this denial maybe to save us from a bigger catastrophe down the line concerning adjustment of status etc. Plan is to go to pakistan, get married, and apply for cr1. According to them, my fiance doesn't qualify for k1 visa category, i think we might be too married for them because our relationship although very halal still very out of norms of the Pakistani culture. And they just needed a reason since the current administration has established and upheld severe scrutiny laws. I am glad for this reason because Allah will make it easier for us the rest of the journey and i will pray and continue to pray for all of you my brothers and sisters that you are soon reunited with your loved ones and don't have to face what we faced. Dont let the broken US immigration system define and rule your life. Live your life and always always hope for the best. Because i still have hope and still very determined.

I don's think it has to do anything with AP time farme. Ours date change to 2022 as well in April sometime and Visa issued in May.

Masha Allah I have been noticing some progress in Pakistani cases both immigrant and non immigrant Alhamdulillah may Allah give us all great news soon amen.

Just want to update you all that my brother received his visa last week. Alhamdullilah!! He was interviewed with his family on October 24th, 2018. Two of his family members received questionnaire email the next day of interview. All family members were placed in AP for about 6 and half months. We were requested to get second medical by the end of sixth month after the interview. After submitting of second medical, he got visa  issued in 30 days.
This AP process was a stressful nightmare for our family, but finally is over Allah ka shukkar. One of his child  is still waiting for visa due to delay medical.
 
I wish you all good luck with this stressful waiting time in AP. Do not lose hope, every case is different and takes AP process according to individual's situation I guess. This forum was very helpful during this time and we got a lot of information from here.

I had about 7 date updates from early March 3 of which I believe were because of inquiry I have seen ppl get multiple updates without a visa n some get visa without any date updates so can't say much all the best you all.

My family and I applied together for a tourist Visa, all of them were issued right away except for me  They gave me a 221 (g) requesting for a DS - 5535;
 
My family is already enjoying NY (since May 14) while I'm left here, working. Hahaha! I'm so jealous T___T  
 
Here's my timeline so far, 
 
April 15 : Interview
*was given a 221 (g) letter and a DS - 5535 form; submitted the form later that day. 
April 22: Case was updated
May 20: Case was updated (*Finally! after almost a month! been checking the CEAC site for like, everytime! hahaha 💔 )

Thank you. I saw what you said through the email notification. Everyone jumps and attacks at any mention of AP and acts like they're experts and we're just supposed to shut up and take it. This place is toxic as hell and honestly I wonder why I even bother it's a broken record copy pasting the same thing when my case is clearly not the day after an interview whining about the ceac status.

Take care of your health and stop stressing. stress doesn’t speed up cases. Your son will be with you when the time is right. My dad also suffered from heart attack because of stressing. Stressing won’t make a difference. It’s better to pray and be hopeful. God has a plan for everyone and let’s pray that all who are far are united with their loved ones soon.
