lainey122 reacted to cbro20 in Case Held for Review
Sigh.
It’s standard procedure for applicants to be held for review after an I-485 interview. How long the case is held for review varies.
Some cases are held for review for 30 minutes. Others for 24 hours. Others for a couple weeks. Some applicants don’t even know they were held for review because approval can come quickly after the interview.
Just because your status tracker updated to “approved” shortly after your interview doesn’t mean you weren’t held for review. From the time your interview finished, your case was technically held for review until the finalized approval was processed in the system. Unless the officer literally finalized the approval while you were sitting in the room, which would be uncommon, you were held for review.
Get it?

I'm working on my I-485, I-944, I-864, I-765 and I-131. lol
I feel like I just killed a small forest with the number of paper I'm sending in.
Anyone else feel the same?

My RFE was kind of a redundant one. They asked me to send in a copy of my birth certificate, which was odd because I had actually sent in a few copies with my package. I figured it wasn’t clear enough for them, so enlarged it and resent it. Fingers crossed!
My 485 also says finger print fee was received. I guess we are all in the same boat! Let’s hope things move along

Oh my gosh. I'm in the exact same boat as you were! Called into TransUnion (on hold for 1.5 hours), talked to a rep who unbeknownst to me, said I actually DID have a credit report for the same reason as you, and that she was going to mail it to me. Still waiting after 10 business days. I didn't realize that a credit score would not be on the credit report. In Canada we have credit bureaus that show you everything. What the heck! 😭
My I-95 expires on April 22, and I'd much prefer to file AOS before this date, even though theoretically it's okay to file after. With that said, I don't have enough time to wait for another 10+ days to receive my credit score. I'm wondering if we'd be able to get away with just a credit report.
I guess I'll be everyone's guinea pig!

Thanks @malajoe, I ended up calling TransUnion again today and ended up paying the $9 for the credit score and another credit report... I have a feeling the first credit report I requested never got sent out.
good luck to you on your AOS journey! We’re all in this together! 💪🏻
