Yeah, I was honestly starting to get nervous about not being able to get a refund or change the dates of the tickets. Delta sent out a notice saying any change within a few dates can be done for free so that's a major relief. I appreciate your input though! The unknown is definitely stressful... Hard decision to make here for sure.

I agree with that as well. It definitely seems to be overblown. I understand that precautionary measures need to be taken, but I feel like some are bit extreme.

And I see... Hmm, that is definitely something to take into consideration. It wouldn't be worth being in quarantine the whole trip. I believe I'm going to wait this out a few more days and go from there.

    Thanks for the input!

I work for an airline. Travel is banned for non-US citizens and residents only. USCs and LPRs can still travel but will face fever scanning/heath screening upon return and may he quarantined.
As someone else has mentioned, this will affect flight capacity. Not as many planes will be needed between Europe and the US if only USCs and LPRs are allowed to fly. So you may find that your flights are re-scheduled by the airline and your, for example, 10 am flight on Thursday becomes a 4.00 pm flight on Tuesday.

Personally I feel the hype on this is all overblown.  That being said, you do have to take into account the potential disruption to your trip if you decide to go and in fact you can even go.  We have not heard how the EU is going to respond yet, so will they require a quarantine period if you go now.  I was in a similar situation two weeks ago.  I was scheduled to meet up with my wife in Russia (she left two weeks earlier) flying through Korea.  Russia banned almost all flights from Korea, so I started thinking of alternate routes, then Russia said anyone coming from certain countries including the US would have to self quarantine for 14 days.  I had planned on being there only 8 days, so in the end I decided to cancel and save my ticket for later in the year.  Of course we also had to find a new route for my wife to come home, and right now I am glad we booked her direct from Moscow to Washington DC in a few days, but I am watching events closely.

My recommendation would be to delay your trip unless you don’t mind major out of your control disruptions.

    Good Luck!

you are lucky that you can change your flight for free.  British airways refuse to let me change a flight to Italy unless we pay 275.00 per ticket.  we are scheduled to leave NYC on April 8th and return April 20th.  Of course we are not going but we have not officially cancelled the ticket to see what will happen.  As of this morning, they were only offering me 366.00 total on 3 tickets that cost 3500.00.  If I were you...I would cancel...the unknown is too stressful...for me at least

The way I read it this morning, not all travel is really banned. U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents (green card holders) will be allowed back in and out of the country, with screening for illness and temperature, etc. The problem might be that the number of flights will be much less going back and forth.

Hence why people have problems with refugees, AOS etc.. basically jumping the line wherever possible... but generally called racist if raise the problem... its not racism when concern about abuse of the system is raised legitimately..

one thing I like about my home countries immigration system..
1, no such thing as an anchor baby.. baby born here is nationalised the same as moms home country if non of the parents are legal residents,
2, enter this country without approval, you get put on an island whist processed asylum or otherwise Unless very rare situation..
3, marriage applications done from home country, unless you’ve been a legal resistant for 3 years.. so no AOS basically

is it hard yes, fair, who knows, do we have a massive immigration issue? No. Do the liberals like it? Most definitely not... but hey it works,

Not that much different from USCs who travel to meet their online romance, and file for a K-1 right after spending a week with that person.

So she’s happy to consent to a medical, let them see her birth certificate, give them her birthdate, full name, address, email address, provide her passport number and possibly credit card details (depending on how she intends to pay the visa fee), have her photo and fingerprints taken but is worried someone might hack her Facebook account?

Hmm that makes perfect sense. What exactly does she think the government is going to do with her Facebook account that will cause more damage then anyone could do with the information that she did provide?

Look, its a moral imperative that justice must be served some way, some how.  The whole reason our legal system exists is to that we can farm out the role of keeping justice to other people so we can live our lives in peace .. but justice must still be served somehow.  We owe it to ourselves to live honest and forthright lives because what we do affects other people.  Good and Bad.  What a moral creature does, is condone the evil, but perpetuate the good.  Thats our role.  If we allow people to get away with stuff like that, this is exactly what we get.  More of it.  Send a message.  But I found someone I love.  Not just desire.  Not just covet.  Not just is willing to go along with the plan.  LOVE.  Go get yourself one first.  Shes out there.  Then see how you feel, as you watch this other one wither on the vine and rot.  You will take joy in that maybe.  I do.

I actually did put a different cover letter for each form. One for the I-485, I-765, I-131 and so on. I read a response you actually put out to someone to do that so I did. Currently, I have no received the NOA1 in the mail for the I-485, only the text.

    I appreciate the help.

I figured that it was generic, but I just wanted to make sure.

Too late now for you but for others reading, my recommendation is to submit a separate cover letter with each form explaining you are filing concurrently.
Why? Because the form packets get separated upon arrival. This usually prevents this issue youve encountered as you would have let them know on your AP (and EAD) coverletter that you are submitting all concurrently so there would be no confusion that the I131 fee might be owed since they cannot necessarily see or bother to check if you filed the I485 too.

For you, follow the above post now and submit a photocopy of your I485 Noa1 so they know you filed concurrently.

nothing has been dumped on me! The process is stressful and some people make mistakes. And unfortunately we are 2 people that got a few things wrong. Sarcastic comments don't help anybody. Whether you completed this journey years ago or still going through it, we are all in the same boat and should be trying to help each other. Not exchanging stupid comments like "dumped on the beneficiary"  Some of you are assuming when you don't know facts! His grandads income isn't taxable. Unless you have genuine good helpful advice please move along. It's already a headache, I don't need anyone making it worse!! thank god this site has people such as @Wuozopo I may at times frustrate but this person always give straight forward HELPFUL advice!! Nobody is perfect. Sometimes we get things wrong  it was already disheartening coming away from my interview without being aproved on the spot. I have 7 weeks of pregnancy left and all I want to do is be with my family. You all know how it feels to be away from your loved ones.  So just have a little more compassion and sensitivity in your replies.. no one set out to get things wrong on purpose!
