Hello!

I was in the exact same situation as yours. I got tired of waiting and I called USCIS asking how long does it take for a RFE response to be processed. The operator told me it’s 90 days and since my case has been waiting longer than that, the opened a service request that morning.

The evening of the same day I got an update that my case was ready for an interview and everything has been moving forward ever since!

I recommend you to call 7:59am not to wait forever to talk to a person haha

Was able to get a call to NVC today and I found out that they made a mistake on my case number.
The letters should've been starting with SEO for Seoul, South Korea but they made it to GUZ, Guangzhou China.
Glad that I was able to fix the problem the day after they made the case number.

I would highly recommend all of you to call NVC by the time you think they made your case number to double check if everything is correct!

I called they said they don't have it in their system yet.

USCIS issues the I-797 Notice of Action when it approves an application or petition. You may also hear people refer to it as an “approval notice.” The Form I-797 Notice of Action is an official letter of approval (NOA2) that can serve as proof of certain immigration benefits (K-1 interview) and may be used as evidence in some cases (NVC to issue a case number).

Since your lawyer is associated with your account should receive a NOA2 in the coming days but there is no guarantee that it will go to him, it may go straight to the petitioner. Your case after approval from USCIS must travel to NVC and NOT to the "listed consulate" for case number assignment. No one else can issue a case number. Once the case number is assigned the approved case will be "forwarded to the listed consulate"

You are getting ahead of yourself and second guessing without real knowledge of the process. Your lawyer should be "schooling you" on what to expect and when to expect it. After all, I believe that's why you are paying them.

I would highly recommend that you, if you haven't already, go to page one of this thread and read the posts as I find that is the best way to gain knowledge of the process. I and other's have made comments on questions that are asked just like yours. If you have questions we are here to help you along.

I recommend that you stay connected to everything that is required to complete the interview and receive your visa. Lawyers have a tendency not to always know what the "latest" is so for you being here on VJ is a good thing as it allows you to read the experiences of others.
