  1. Hi everyone,

I have a K1 visa, I moved to the USA last November. I am waiting for my AOS

This morning I got a call from my mom. My grand father could die in the next few hours. What should I do? Should I call uscis? How to get emergency advanced parole? If I get it, how long can I stay in my country? To I have to leave asap or can I wait a few weeks to get a cheaper plain ticket?

    Thx

AWESOME!  Thanks for sharing.  Keep that away from your father this time! 😁

What did your father add to the envelope?

I actually added documents... Inside one of my folder I found documents where it was written "agent copy". And I thought I had never seen them before. But I believe that I got it right after the interview. (can you guys confirm me that they give you documents like photos, and forms right after the interview?)

You guys can't imagine how fast it was. Normally you gotta wait in line, set an appointment. For me

    Monday at 23h00

I realized my dad opened the envelope

    Tuesday at 9h00

I called the ambassy. They told me to send an email explaining what happened

    Tuesday at 11h00

A woman called me and asked me to come Wednesday at 9h30 with the envelope, all the documents and 1 buck

    Wednesday at 9h30

I go through security. Then a lady asked me my for my photo. I said I am here because I opened the envelope. She was like "oh it is you. Just wait a sec" then she grabbed her phone and called someone. She asked me to go inside. I go inside. There is another lady waiting for me. I immediately go to the cashier and pay 1 buck. I got the receipt. And then I give the receipt to the lady. She took my documents and envelope then asked me to sit.

    Wednesday at 10h00

The lady comes back with a new sealed envelope. I asked her is everything is OK. She said yes. I said is there any way I could get rejected, she said no. I leave right after. While leaving I see again the first woman, she comes and give me a big hug. Then I left...

That's all. It took 24 hours to get it fixed. One last thing I want to say. On the envelope, in my ambassy, there is no such thing as big red marks, or big signs that says do not open. It is just a normal envelope with a tiny little text at the bottom. It does not look like something you don't want to open + when I got the email for my interview and during that interview it was never written or said that I was gonna get a sealed envelope... So...

IF you go to POE with an open envelope you will not be allowed in.  You are fixing it so no worries.  They take that envelope seriously as you can add and remove items or even change what the items say.  That is why it is opened by the officer at POE.  You are good but be careful with the next one.

I hope you are right! Tomorrow I will come here and give you updates. Thank you all guys. This website is so good. And the people are very nice! Love the USA, love you!

Hundreds of people haven’t opened it because there’s a big note on the side of the envelope that says not to.... you’ve unfortunately made you bed. You’re not going to get any answers on what’s in it because it’s not to be opened. And it’s not to be opened for a reason. Also what is your dad doing opening YOUR mail? Sounds like you have a lot of problems. Good luck.

How do you know I have no chance ? You really think it is all over just because it is opened ? It makes no sense...

the embassy will know /if they wanted u to know the envelope would not be sealed

they probably already are doing a new envelope and all u do is pick it up as the lady said "they were just gonna hand me an envelope"

No she said, we are gonna give you an enveloppe. You are gonna put your documents in it. We will add a little note on your profile that says it got opened. And then she said "if they don't let you get in the country at the boder, it is your problem". So... I mean there gotta be a list no ? People who opened it never posted a message saying what it contains ???

I doubt anyone has taken the time to do an inventory because it is NOT to be opened

I am sure hundreds of people opened it...

  6. Hi everyone,

On november 19th 2018 I will take the plane to go to the US. Unfortunally, today I realized that my dad accidently opened the scealed enveloppe they delivered me 2 weeks ago. My dad also mixed some of those documents with other that I had. So I called the Ambassy ASAP, and tomorow, I have an appointment at the Ambassy to get my files resealed in an enveloppe. The thing is that I am not sure what goes inside that letter and what does not. So is there a list with all the things that contains this scealed enveloppe or a way for me to find out what document have to go in the enveloppe ? And is it bad if I put extra documents in it ? I asked the woman on the phone but she said they were just gonna hand me an enveloppe and put a note on my file case that says that it got opened.

So is there a list with what contains the sealed enveloppe they send with the passport ?

    Thanks
