Good afternoon everyone. Yesterday was overwhelming for me so I took a step back to gather my thoughts and come to terms with this inevitable. I received the cancellation notice this afternoon. Totally disheartening to say the least but I just have to accept it and look to the next steps. So let the waiting game begin 💪🏾Hopefully things will turnaround soon🙏🏾. Congrats again to everyone who made it thru thus far. Fly out soon cause as you can see things are ever changing. Chin up everyone else. We're gonna get thru this too.

I am so sorry to see these cancellations. I hope that all those directly affected will keep the faith. Let us pray together as a Visajourney family that the spike in Jamaica will cease soon and normalization will be restored. Let us do all that we can to keep ourselves and loved ones safe and not contribute to the current Covid-19 cases. I know it must be disheartening to be so close but so far away, please keep the faith as this is temporary and everyone will reunite with their loved ones soon.

What ever you uploaded to nvc please bring it to your interview. Embassy been requesting the 2019 tax transcripts and so far asking some people for w-2 so it’s just best to be over prepared. Everyone’s case is different so not because they didn’t ask this person doesn’t mean they won’t ask you.  Walk with everything

 We got approved! They took my b/cert, marriage cert/ police records, tax transcript 2019, 1 passport photo. Asked me how we met, when did we decide to get married, where did we get married, who from his side attended the wedding. How often we talk on the phone, when last we spoke, what is my job, what do I plan to do over there. Was done in under an hour. Thank you to everyone who answered my many questions! And good luck to all those still waiting for their interview dates! 

Got the visa back today😊

Hey guys, we got approved. 
After a ton load of questions we were approved.
They requested:
W2
Birth Certificate 
Marriage Certificate 
Police record
Passport 
Questions:
1. Have I ever traveled outside of my country 
2. Where did I go and how long did I spend 
3. Who is my petitioner 
4. How many children I have
5. How many children my husband and I have together 
6. How did we meet. "Tell me the story"
7. How many persons were at the wedding 
8. Who for my husband was at the wedding
9. How many times did my husband come to Jamaica after we got married.
10. Have I ever been convicted of a crime
11. How many persons live in my husband house
12. Asked me if I planned to work when I go overseas
13. Asked me what type of job
14. What kinda job my husband does
15. What kinda job I do

All the best to those that have upcoming interview. I wouldn’t even say try to stay calm cause my nerves was through the roof however at one point I just left it all up to God. 
My immigration journey  has finally come to an end, I’m so thankful for VisaJourney and also thankful to @Stacey Ann for this little group 😊.
 
Hubby got his visa in hand today (3 days after interview) but was told wait 1-2 weeks and now it’s just counting down the days until he leaves 🎉

No matter how repetitive and/or tedious they were. Stacey you have created a place for us not only to get valuable information but also to share our experiences so others don’t have to stumble like we did. Embassy don’t play to issue 221g paper because they expect each applicant to be prepared...we hate seeing someone post saying they got that paper so guys walk with house  and land Please!!! 
 
This been such a long journey for everyone so don’t let anything go wrong 🙏🏽

Guys the embassy is at liberty to request nothing, everything or a few things. No one can tell you for certain what may or may not be requested of you. We can only provide guidance based on knowledge or experience. Therefore, bring everything you uploaded to NVC and then some. On the I864 the petitioner's income was listed for the past 3 years therefore, while it is not an absolute requirement to bring all 3 years, the CO can ask for it. Everyone's case is different. What happens for John's case is but a mere insight into what may happen for Mary, it is not a rule. It is best to have more than required than not have enough and be given a 221g or worse. So again, prepare/arm yourself with everything.

Initially not having the i864 made me worry But then I did some reading and realized I didn’t need it.

appointment letter
2 pics
police certificate
passport
marriage certificate
birth certificate 
Previous passport with B-2 visa(which exp. jul2020; but she stamped cancelled still)
pics (I did not have any)
death certificate (previous wife) ( I did not have it; he uploaded it)

tax transcript/w-2
 
The questions are the same as posted by others on the forum. 
 
She then congratulated me and said your husband uploaded everything and your medical is good. So, 1-2 weeks time you’ll receive passport.

I would just leave it alone because it's justs a date for a job but if it was a birth/marraige date then thats another big issue. Just wait for your interview if anything you can let Co know. All the best 🙂

🤣🤣🤣🤣 I guess they have to say that just to be on the safe side and it can process between then but so far people getting back in 3 days lol. It’s their safe line 🤣

I got approved. They didn’t ask for i864. They asked for pics but I didn’t have any. She said I’ll get my passport within 1-2weeks. 

I will advise her to send them an email. Thanks much @TheFostersJourney
