I doubt the vote could be the issue, our date didn’t change last time the embassy sent us in email.. and randomly this week the date change but no response from embassy. My husband was emailed to come for oath/fingerprints in July and new medical so they might email you soon also, it seems they’ve been picking up on some cases ..

Basically! I’m not sure what is taking so long it’s so frustrating and that fact that we can’t even get any straight answers makes it even worst

it expires in 6 months. So after your first interview it would have expired long time ago, Right?

Just got done with second medical in august. Third would be needed again in feb I’m

He had an oath/fingerprint in July and was asked to submit a new medical also an updated password since it expired in April 2020

It was proper wedding. They didnt ask for any pictures, video or chat history. Our case was in AP since 2018 and then they replied that our case is out of AP ( last 4 inquiries we submitted). The case date changed on oct 1 on its own and then i submitted inquiry, but they replied that case is in AP. I dont know if it is a good sign?

Please let us know if you get any update! We’ve been in AP for 18 months our cases date changes but we don’t always get replies to any inquiries I’m hoping they starting working on these old cases! Especially those of spouses who are apart for so long 😭

Been in AP for 17 months. No good reply from embassy his medical did expire in April he got email from embassy to come in and bring new medical which he did in July but still he isn’t approved for his visa! The embassy doesn’t reply sometimes and when they do it just seems like the same reply nothing new. Idk if the embassy is working on all cases I’ve been hearing mixed things I’m so tired of waiting it’s not fair 😩

Hello my husband also was called to have oath/fingerprints after 17 month AP he was told to bring his medical but that was end of July we still haven’t gotten approved yet

I am a citizen and Dubai 1-2 years and Malaysia 6 months.

I’m hoping not!! We had a second oath/fingerprints and that was end of July and it seemed everything was up and running but there was only my husband and another guy at the embassy not much staff as well..like when we got the email to come again we only had 2 weeks from the time they sent that email to the actually date itself..idk it’s already bad we’ve been in AP for 17 months they should be working on these old cases and be prioritizing it better rather than leaving ppl hanging especially those who are without their spouses! It’s not fair at all! 😡

This seems like slowest embassy ever! I feel no other country has this issue! Their AP is already so long and now this coronavirus isn’t helping anything! I’ve heard mixed things like the embassy might close again and also that they’re working on old cases idk when this nightmare will be over 😭

Lol yeah I thought that about a year ago in April when he had his first interview and here we are 17 months after and still no visa but yes another interview which consisted of an oath/fingerprints and a new medical .

Well I thought that but I’ve seen that some ppl without travel history were put in AP and also received the ds5535, It’s so frustrating and I’ve just about given up 🤷🏻‍♀️

No idea! They said everything was good and that they’ll email us they kept his passport and that was that! Some ppl say oh yeah it’s typical for males to be in AP and especially for a year or so but I’ve read females get it too so idk I guess it’s just something that happens and nobody really knows the real reason behind it

was you spouse required to submit police clearances from any of the countries he has been in the past?

No not at all! They wanted an updated medical and was told to submit his new passport via courier and he did that and was received august 17! And we’ve sent a couple inquires, the date updates and sometimes they write back but that’s about it!

I feel like it’s very common to be in AP for atleast a year my spouse also received the ds5535, it’s been 17 months and even had a second interview in July and nothing yet!

We’ve been in AP for 17 months, what did the email state? Was ur spouse called to the embassy again? Any additional documents needed? Also, did you get ds5535?
