  1. If you live in CA, your I-751 should have been sent to CSC...

This is from the USCIS website:

    Where to File :

If you live in Alaska, American Samoa, Arizona, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming, file with the California Service Center at:

    USCIS California Service Center

    P.O. Box 10751

    Laguna Niguel, CA 92607-1075

  2. called CSC and went to local office to find out what is going on with my case. Get this: they told me that all security checks have been completed and that they have applied my 2007 FBI namecheck to the I-751 (which i find strange) and that everything looks good, but the case is still pending. CSC officer said the case is still on the shelf pending adjudication.

Its been 3 months since case was filed with CSC (3/16), and i see people who filed over a month after i did already got approved. So i just dont understand how they can claim with a straight face to process cases in the order they recieve them. Sorry for ranting.

I understand your frustration. Hope you will get some good news soon!

  3. You'll have to wait for your biometrics letter in order to be able to check your case status online.

Take a look at your NOA; it should state the following: "Upon receipt of your ASC appointment notice, you can find the status of your case on-line at www.uscis.gov. To view the status of your case, enter the application number found at the top of the ASC appointment notice."

  4. Silke,

I forgot to add, you can check if you have been scheduled for biometrics too by speaking to an IO. Maybe my experience would help. I used the change address option, and informed the rep I am not changing address but needs assistance on a service request and then my call was transferred to an immigration officer in LA.

And I'll keep you posted here when I receive the bio notice and for any updates! Thanks again.

I forgot to mention earlier that I too was transferred to an IO after talking to a customer service rep (by the way, I chose the "lost receipt number" option to get to talk to an actual person). My biometrics appointment hasn't been scheduled yet either. That's why the IO offered to put in a service request. Maybe you should call again and hope to get to talk to an IO that will put in a service request now?! When was your package received by CSC? Mine got delivered on April 28th.

Thank you for the additional info, Silke. I'll call again on Monday. CSC received my I-751 package on the 28th of April. I hope we get our biometrics soon.

Definitely call again on Monday! You shouldn't have to wait another 2 weeks! Good luck!

Thanks for the good luck. I was able to put in a service request. Were you given a confirmation number? Just wondering if we had the same experience. Thanks again.

I'm glad you were able to put in a service request this time! Yes, I was given a confirmation number as well. I hope we will hear something soon!

  7. Biometrics comes out of an ASC so may not be your local field office. The infopass should get you information, and perhaps they will do the biometrics while you are there.

The only number is the one that you have, also known as the mis-information line.

I called the "misinformation line" today and put in a service request. I don't know if it will actually help but I guess it was worth a try.

    Hello,

I'm also waiting for my biometrics appt., filed I-751 on April 27 and have not heard anything back from USCIS. Can you tell me how to do a service request? I am so worried..

    I appreciate your reply....

    Chey

I called the National Customer Service Center (1-800-375-5283 ) and explained my situation. The person I talked to then offered to put in a service request for me and said I should hear something within 30 days.

Good luck and keep us updated!
