I'm an F1 student getting ready to file for AOS. My passport expired last year and I got a new one. They let me keep the old one that shows my F1 visa and I-94, at the German embassy in SF, they just invalidated my old passport by cutting off a corner of the biographical page.

I'm already in the country and I'm adjusting from F1. My parents sent me an international birth certificate. That way you don't have to get it translated.

According to the USCIS vaccination table, we are required to be vaccinated against varicella. I did not receive this vaccination as a child but did have varicella. Do I now have to get vaccinated when applying for AOS (even though I had varicella)?

I'm an F1 student currently doing my OPT (Optional Practical Training Year). My Employment Authorization Card shows my A#. Do I use that number when filling out the different forms ? Thanks. Silke

I entered the US as an F1 student; after graduating from college, I obtained my Employment Authorization Card for the Optional Practical Training Year (OPT). I started my OPT June 1st, 2006 and will finish it June 1st of this year.

While I was still in college, I met my now fiancé. We are planning on getting married in April.

This brings up a few of questions:

1) Do I qualify for adjustment of status considering that I’m already in the country on a F1 visa?

2) If yes, what steps do we have to follow when applying for adjustment of status?

3) Do I still have to be enrolled in school AFTER we submit the application documents? Since my OPT comes to an end June 1st, 2007, would I have to reenroll in school and stay enrolled until my case gets approved?
