  1. Thanks
myaumyau reacted to appleblossom in SSN and GC after entering the US?
Both should just be mailed, her SSN in a couple of weeks and the GC in 1-3 months usually. You can’t track the SSN but can track the GC using the receipt number from when you paid the $220 fee.

    HTH.

Sounds like the GC and the SSC should be heading her way based on how you answered the questions and paid the processing fee.  The issue is the time period it will take to arrive.  She can go down to the SSA and apply for a SSN, my cousins did this when they came on DVs back in 2019, or she can simply wait for the SSN.  Nothing you can do right now relative to the physical GC except wait and if it doesn't arrive in 10-11 months, she can request an ADIT stamp to maintain her LPR proof.  Based on what I have noticed (purely anecdotal), the physical GCs seem to be arriving faster for those immigrating on IVs.

    Good Luck!

myaumyau got a reaction from Mike E in Interview scheduled at the embassy and now should I also upload all documents in CEAC by creating a profile?
I am a US Citizen and my mother's interview has finally been scheduled in the US embassy in Kathmandu, Nepal for September. In the interview letter, there is a link saying it should be reviewed for interview preparation which then directs me to https://www.ustraveldocs.com/np/.
The first step states "Step 1: Create a profile and upload all relevant documents in CEAC".

This is a bit confusing to me. Do I really need to create a profile in there and upload documents again? I have already done this in USCIS and at NVC. So what is the purpose of this?

Quick update. I submitted all RFE documents online and my case was approved in the next two days. Its quicker.

RFE says return requested information and all supporing documents on this page to... address. But wouldn't doing it electronically be much safer/faster? Also there is an option for it for that reason on the USCIS portal I guess.
