    Hi guys!

I couldn't find a similar thread so thought I'd make one myself. This is just a place where those who filed I-130 for IR-1/CR-1 in August 2018 can keep in touch with each other. Going forward, it'll be interesting to see when this group starts receiving NOA2's.

    Please post your timelines below!

I'm not gonna lie, it's easy to lose hope but your happiness is infectious and I'm dying for the day I see "Case was Approved"! Hope we stay in touch, is there a way to add friends on this website? Or DM? In which case, DM me your progress and I'll for sure ping you when I get my good news. Thank you for all your support and kindness ❤️

Hey! Sorry I don't check on this forum that often anymore. Nothing yet, had a generic email today saying they're still reviewing our case and there are no new updates.. Prayers 🙏

Why did your lawyer advise against G-1145? It's simply a request for electronic notification. I swear I've seen so much weird and unnecessary advice from lawyers... it's there for your convenience, it makes no difference at all in the application.

Anyway, hope you get the NOA1 soon! Good luck.

No news here.. no online updates or mail. People at Potomac who filed in February are getting approved. Heck, people who filed more than a month after us at Texas are getting approved. I'm happy for them but it's so unfair... I have no words.

Hi Guys!!!!! U cant imagine how happy I am)))) my case just been approved. I did not receive any letter yet, but case tracker and uscis website says that it was approved!
    8/22/2018 - case was received.
    04/05/2018 - it was approved.
Ive been so nervous and depresses over this long process. I have not seen my husband for more than a year. During this time our girl was born. He has not seen her yet. It was her first birthday yesterday. Its such a wonderful present for us)))))Thank God, we are near to end. May all of your cases get approved too, so u can finally be with your loved ones. I will let you know, if anything.

With respect, I would disagree slightly with the above advice. I have seen many cases where the applicant had further evidence of a bona fide marriage/relationship since they initially filed the I-130 petition, and brought this evidence to the interview but never got the chance to show it and were subsequently refused or asked to submit further documents, which delayed their visa.

Always give more information than the bare minimum. There is no harm in side-loading again at NVC. There is serious harm in lacking sufficient evidence and delaying your case unnecessarily. Most cases are approved/denied before they even get to interview depending on the info submitted at NVC. Also, USCIS is notorious for misplacing/losing documents. You cannot trust that they will definitely forward everything you send them. Why take the risk? Good luck!

But also, I get that if they're asking for £50 it might be easier to get it over and done with rather than faff about with them further and risk delaying your process. Good luck.

I feel you. We're in 2019, there is NO explicable reason that we're still doing paper petitions. It should already be computerised and petitions should automatically go to the service center that has the most capacity to handle it, and then worked through in a chronological order. Makes no sense at all. USCIS needs a major overhaul.

Thanks for the advice - you're right, it doesn't hurt to send extra! I was already planning to send recent call logs, photos and boarding passes from the trips we've had since we filed, and evidence of joint finances. We front loaded pretty heavily for the I-130, so I can just copy that stack of evidence and add it in. I appreciate everyone taking the time to comment!
