Hey guys just to let you know, my husband was able to come in and visit!!!!!!!!!!!!!! all the checked was our marriage certificate and proof that I am a US citizen, thats all

Or those of us who cannot even visit one another due to the fact that USA will not grant a visitor visa even prior to the COVID 19, due to being from a certain country. 
Now that there are travel restrictions the option of meeting in another country is gone. So, idk when the next time I will see my husband, much less when the interview will take place..... 
 
So I have a question....... Why have work visa been given so fast compared to marriage visas?   I have never really understood that.

We’ve been in Administrative Processing for 8 months, and now my husband is affected by this new travel ban, so it’s like setback after setback. It’s very heartbreaking and discouraging. Out third wedding anniversary is this summer and I have no idea when we’ll finally be together. I know we’re not the only ones going through this, but sometimes I just feel hopeless. 😢

Yes, I'm told that Nigerian citizens can travel there with the mandatory 14 day hold. Trust me my husband and I are getting so depressed over all this. You wait so long to get approval, then the president bans travel from Nigeria, now this virus. I know God is good and merciful and we continue to pray we will be able to put this behind us soon. I wish everyone nothing but the best and that we will all be with our loved ones very soon. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

I wanted to address the negative attitudes we have seen on the rise recently in the upper/ immigration forums towards those who ask beginner/ simple questions, or have unusually fast or slow VisaJourneys.

First, there is a tone difference between the Progress forums- which are mostly for support and cheerleading, and the Info forums, which are mostly to have questions answered.   While all our forums are supposed to be welcoming to all and friendly, this is especially important in the Progress forums, which are not to discuss politics, or be negative towards  those fortunate to have their case dealt with quickly, or  critical of those who voice sadness about their own slow progress. These forums are there to uplift eachother!

Secondly- in the info forums, you may get bad news.  When a question is asked, our members are encouraged to answer truthfully, even if this may not be what the Op wants to hear, because it is important to be informed.  However, the emphasis is still on being welcoming and friendly.  If you need to give bad news, do so gently, and stick to facts; constructive criticism of the Op's plans ARE allowed, but the emphasis is on constructive.  No need to dwell on mistakes (or tell members they should be on 90 Day Fiance- that is a personal attack and automatic suspension), or  illegal actions in the past- instead, encourage and explain legal options for the future.  And ONLY legal options- as per our TOS, VJ does not support, condone or encourage illegal (immigration) actions, and such posts will be removed.

Ultimately, we are here to help all members, old and new, easy cases and complicated, those who write a fact filled bullet point post and those who are panicking and don't make much sense in their first post. Yes, sometimes questions can be easily googled, or answered via a search of our forums.  But if you feel that way, just scroll past- no need to criticise the OP for asking the question.

@Besamiot don't be too quiet :)  Keep us informed as things move, especially once it progresses to the appointment at the embassy. A lot are watching and will benefit from whatever you can share.

Oh, no. I will share if there's any progress. I benefit a lot from this community and anything I have to share to help others, I will share. What I meant by "quiet " was that I won't be too worried about whether they will process my petition.  Especially now that you have told me they kept processing last time the other countries were banned. I am relieved. 

I actually suggested the same idea in the sight suggestions thread, but didn't get much of a response. 
 
It sure would be a helpful feature for those of us who are stuck in extended AP to have in order to get a sense of how similar cases are progressing and moving.

From your profile, looks like you went through the same process in 2009, so I'm sure if it was as easy as to "just move there" you yourself would have just done that rather than the K-1 process. All circumstances does not allow that option and one would think someone who personally went through it themselves would have better advise for those who's been affected by this sudden ban. I'm sure if this ban was placed during your process, you would have felt differently about it. Guess it's hard for you to relate now since you're already in the US and congrats on your naturalization. 

So how many here who are petitioning for relatives still think Trump's making America great again?

Hi! I apologize for the delayed reply, but posting anyway in case useful to future users. His status changed to Issued on Friday the 12th, so about a week and a half after his in interview. (Might be faster for others, as the Embassy was closed for Independence Day.) His passport arrived the following Tuesday.
