Definitely looks like they were in the same pile. It's unfortunate that the London embassy is closed tomorrow. In any instance, we're hoping based on other timelines that we'll get the tracking info either Friday or Monday and get the packet via DX Group Monday or Tuesday. Keep me posted! Almost there!

KristenJ reacted to K & R in K1 Medical and history of depression! Advice welcome!
My husband had his medical at Knightsbridge for the K-1 (Hes now a GC holder here). I would make sure you have the full medical report and not just a summary. My husband brought the full medical report and had no issues. He also had depression in his past and opted for the psych eval because his GP was not willing to write an in depth letter stating he was fine (not because he didn’t believe he was fine but because he literally couldn’t get an appointment with the GP to have it done!! 😡) so the GP just referred us for the psych eval and my husband was able to get an appointment much quicker.
the doctor at the eval was fantastic and wrote a 5 page letter about how my husband is fine. The most important thing though to have them write is that YOU ARE NOT A DANGER TO YOURSELF OR OTHERS.
When my husband had the medical at Knightsbridge they were extremely impressed with the psych eval letter. I think more so then they would have been with just a little note from the GP. I saw someone on here say their GP wrote a 3 sentence note and that that was not enough for the Knightsbridge Doctors.
Overall I find it best to be Over prepared. It was worth the £350 in my opinion for us to have a smooth ride through the medical process. Just make sure you do not lie or with hold info. There may not be anything stating you had depression on your medical summary but if their is any record of medication on their for depression you might get some questions. It’s just not worth the setback to lie. Good luck! pm me if you ever need to!!

When we went to Knightsbridge on Oct 2nd, we only had the summary. They said this wasn't enough and gave us another letter to pass to the GP. We did that On Oct 3rd, paid £60 for full medical reports and a letter from the GP but didn't receive the info back til Nov 5th. We rang up many times throughout that period but the GP didn't write the letter til Nov 2nd. We received that letter back with additional letters and reports amounting to 26 pages. That is what was sent back to Knightsbridge and was approved and sent to the embassy on Nov 15th. All this waiting around and ringing up and wasting time when we could have just requested all documentation beforehand. Unfortunately, we took some bad advice over the phone that "the summary should be good enough." It was not. I think you're doing the best thing you can do by getting all your records from your various service providers. It should paint a full picture of your history and you can use it to present your case from your perspective; you're more than a diagnosis typed on a page. We put together a 2-page summary ourselves using quotes from reports and letters which portrayed the reality of the situation and history. I hope this helps. In the end, you and your fiance are your own best advocates, as medical providers don't have the time or energy to devote to ensuring that your case moves forward. Best of luck again and let me know if you have any other questions I can help answer.

If you don't have any prior surgeries or hospital visits or anything even mildly concerning that would make Knightsbridge do a double take, the summary will probably be fine. But it would probably be better to be safe than sorry and just have your full medical records on hand just for peace of mind and in case any issues pop up. We paid £60 and got loads of previous reports and letters but we wish we would have prepared and had it at Knightsbridge during the appointment rather than receiving a letter from Knightsbridge that day requesting further information from the GP. It seems like you have the time to get it done now maybe that will eliminate the possibility of snags further down the line. Wishing you the best of luck.

No, we weren't aware of any £350 psych evaluation. We did have to pay £60 to get the full medical records and a letter from the GP though. From the records, I believe the full story was clear to Knightsbridge, even though the GP's letter was completely unhelpful. My fiancee actually has never met that GP and it seemed that he didn't even look at the 26 pages of records, calling the information he had "scanty" which would have been laughable if it weren't so infuriating. Best advice I can give is get your hands of any and all documentation asap.

KristenJ got a reaction from DJClaire in K1 Medical and history of depression! Advice welcome!
Request a full medical report; the summary may not be enough in your case. Get your hands on any and all records possible from anywhere possible. Start getting the documentation now. Don't wait and don't believe anyone who tells you that the summary will be enough. Every case is unique and the more documentation you have the better. If you can get a GP to write a letter stating that you are "no harm to self or others" that seems to be the recurring theme of what they want. However, we weren't able to get a GP to sign off on anything, basically just wrote "no comment" and that coupled with 26 pages of documents and an addendum we wrote ourselves was sufficient. However, we had to wait an additional 5 weeks because we didn't realize that Knightsbridge would request additional info based on the summary and the GP office was slow as molasses. We wish we would have started getting all previous medical records much sooner.
FYI: The Visa Medicals consent form they give you when they request more info from your GP states:
-"You can ask the doctor to change any part of the report you consider to be inaccurate or misleading."
-"If the doctor declines to change the report, you can attach a written statement giving your views on its contents."
Best of luck to you.

Hopefully our experience can help someone else. The best advice we can give is GET EVERY SINGLE PIECE OF MEDICAL INFORMATION you can get your hands on from your GP, from any reports, from the NHS, from your old records, from wherever. GET IT ALL AND START GETTING IT NOW, AS MUCH IN ADVANCE AS POSSIBLE. Pay any fees you need to, it will be much less expensive in the long run. And don't believe anyone who tells you that the summary should be enough. It may not be. If it seems that if you have ANYTHING that makes Knightsbridge do even a slight double take, they will request more information from your GP. And in our experience, we had to wait from October 3rd to November 5th for the GP to write a 5 sentence letter of no real value or help. Medical offices and GPs have no real stake or interest in your case and they can be unbearably and frustratingly S-L-O-W and unhelpful. In the end, I believe it was more the additional medical reports that showed the full story, as it seemed the GP didn't want to sign his name to anything and essentially wrote "no comment." Understandably he didn't know much about my fiancee as he had only been assigned in 2016 and never met her. However, to take an entire month to get that information back to us felt cruel, and was simply exasperating. Now that we are nearly out of the matrix, we are breathing a bit easier since the embassy are in the final stages of processing our case. But we could have saved ourselves lots of stress and exhaustion if we would have requested any and all records from everywhere possible, starting from when we filed our original 129F petition in February. Good luck to all.

I'm checking religiously.. haha. I think I missed the change from immigrant to non-immigrant as I just checked and the "case created" and the "last updated" are now both today. Fingers crossed it'll change to issued tomorrow.. 🤞
Good luck! Think we might be on the same "Issued" timeline!! Keep me updated!

Thank you, our case was actually updated today (the 19th) on the CEAC tracker for the first time since Oct 11th (the day after the interview) so we'll take that as a good sign and maybe we both get lucky and something happens with our cases before the holiday slowdown. Fingers crossed...

Thank you, we didn't know about that, we've been checking CEAC and saw that someone at the embassy had our case in their hands today for the first time since Oct 11th after the interview. Still in Administrative Processing, but hopefully changes to non-immigrant and issued soon!

In London, about 2days after CEAC says "issued" you'll get an email to track your delivery with DX. Normal delivery is one day after your email.

Go to the UK FORUM where a group are discussing their progress on this topic specific to Knightsbridge clinic and London consulate. They give dates, experience, and are starting to get their visa delivery emails.

KristenJ reacted to ADAngel in Knightsbridge Nightmare.. hoping our experience can help others.
Hi guys, I just need to rant for a bit so here we go. Here's our detailed experience thus far.
We received our case number from NVC on the 18th of September and I immediately called and scheduled our medical interview to give us as much time as possible between the medical and the interview. We scheduled his medical for October 3rd at 10:30 am, the soonest they had, a bit early but we were only an hour train ride from London Waterloo, so not the end of the world. We spent the next two weeks getting together everything he would need, the second MMR he never received, Flu Jab from the NHS at the local Tesco, etc..
October 3rd rolls around, everything was pretty straight forward, they let me sit in the waiting room while Tony went through the whole process. He gave a urine samples, then had to do a chest x-ray, he came back to the waiting room and waited a bit before seeing the other doctor. This is where things started to go south. He went into the office and the doctor noted that his Atrial Septal Defect (small hole in the lining of the septum of the heart) was listed as an "active" health condition on his GP summary, despite the fact that he had surgery 9 years ago to repair the hole - which was also listed on his GP summary. The doctor explains that he doesn't think that this will be a problem but he will need to ask the other doctor to see if they need more information. He comes back to the waiting room. I'm disappointed but had a feeling that they might bring it up so I had mentally prepared myself. We wait a bit longer, they inform us we missed a vaccination (Tetanus, but we can get it in the US before AOS). We had back up to the counter and they give us a letter to give to his GP stating that they need "more information" about his heart condition and the repair surgery (yes the letter was this painfully vague).
So begins our nightmare.
Later that day we drop the letter off at his GP, hoping that we would be able to get all of this sorted before his interview that was scheduled for October 24th. Only to be told that it could take them 30 days to get a hold of the information, but they'd e-mail it directly to Knightsbridge.
A few weeks go by, it's now October 18th and we get a call from his GP, telling us that the paperwork we wanted was ready to be picked up. Not what they had said they would do, but okay. Since they waited until 4:30pm to call us, we had to wait until the next day but we went and picked the information up. It was a detailed sheet about the results of his exams, stating the size of the hole in his heart before the surgery and after, and it had notes stating the surgeon was pleased with the results. "Great!" we thought. This HAS to be what they want. The GP informed us that they did indeed e-mail it to Knightsbridge and we were all set, we took our copy and went on our way. (Spoiler alert: they didn't e-mail it.) However, me being as paranoid as I am, called Knightsbridge to confirm they received the e-mail from the GP - Surprise surprise, they hadn't. It was now the day before his interview. We say F*** it we're going to make sure that it gets there, we're going to be in London anyway so we'll drop it off in person.
So the day of his interview rolls around and everything is smooth sailing! He's Approved!!.. pending the results of his missing medical exam.
Off again to Knightsbridge. This was straightforward, they took it and his case # and told us if they needed more information they would be in touch within 3 business days. Great, we left and had Pizza Express for lunch, thinking that everything was smooth sailing from here on out, oh how I envy the naivety I possessed that day.
According to Knightsbridge, the 3 business days begin starting the next day - despite the fact that we dropped the paper off in the morning. But we're understanding people, so whatever, that's fine. Anyway, Monday rolls around.. around noon we get a phone call that the paper we gave them wasn't enough. Frustrated at this point, Tony demands, over the phone, to know EXACTLY what they're looking for so we can get it to them. "Discharge Papers." Okay, inconvenient, but fine. We'll get them to you as soon as we can. We go to his GP immediately after the call and ask for a copy of the discharge papers.. leave being told it could take a few days. We get a call two days later, on Wednesday that what we wanted was available for pick up. They handed us EVERY SINGLE PAGE of his medical record, which we had to comb through to find the note that said "Hospital correspondence 12/2/2009"... That HAD to be the discharge notes. Thankfully, they printed it up right then. We go home, scan them in and send the entire discharge letter, notes and all, including the page they had already received and send it off. We receive a confirmation email "3 business days and we'll contact you directly if we need more information." Great. This HAS to be everything, this has to be the end of it.. right?
Wrong.
Friday afternoon, I'm back in the US at this point, as I had to leave without him to get back to work... at 4:30pm he received a call from Knightsbridge. Because of "questionable wording" on the discharge papers, they now needed more information.
A bit of background, when he was 19 he was out celebrating a birthday with his friends and they were doing jagerbombs.. the ones mixed with Redbull. He had had a few, and because of the heart defect (that he didn't know he had), an excess of caffeine and alcohol, his heart stopped for about 30 seconds, he passed out and they took him to the hospital. Thus, the discharge notes said something along the lines of "After a bout of drinking, the patient was admitted with an arrhythmia where it was discovered that he had an ASD." (Side note- the Arrhythmia was because of the ASD... not because of the alcohol, before he got it repaired his resting heartbeat was about 120 all of the time.. yet no one ever caught it before - HOW? I don't know)
Now Knightsbridge was calling, and they wanted proof that he wasn't or isn't alcoholic and doesn't have any sort of "problem or dependency." They waited until 4:30pm on a Friday to call, which meant that nothing could be done until Monday morning.
He went to his GP first thing Monday morning.. they were just as tired of seeing him as he was of seeing them. They put an ASAP on it and called Wednesday morning (Nov. 7th), where it cost him £15 to pick it up. He immediately e-mailed it to Knightsbridge and we received the same "3 business days and we''ll call if we need something."
Thankfully, it's been more than 3 business days and we have yet to hear anything. I'm hoping that this nightmare is finally over and we can just move on and he can finally come. Moral of the story - cover all of your bases. If you think something might not be a big deal, get something for it just in case. It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. We would have had the information before the medical but his GP wouldn't give it to us without that letter from Knighstbridge.. so I guess it is what it is, but a month and a half from his original medical and we're just now reaching the end.
As of right now our case is still in "administrative processing" and the last day it was touched was October 25th. Here's to hoping the embassy will hurry up and issue it as soon as they receive it so he can get his butt over here!!

1) Yes, you can look on the website for different interview appointments after you've booked yours.
2) The medical is only booked over the phone and you have to call to check if there are any different appointments.

Just got our NVC case number over the phone; was only on hold 10 minutes or so.
For those wondering:
NOA1: Feb 9
NOA2: Aug 24
NVC Case Created: Sept 10
NVC Case Number Received: Sept 12
Also, fyi, I had called Monday morning (the 10th) at 6am but was told the case had not been received yet.
