  1. We received our tracking info Monday (yesterday) and received the visa via DX Group courier today/Tuesday (same day it was scheduled to arrive) at 2:13pm. By reading the forums, we were pretty sure that there was a 2 business day wait for the tracking number from when CEAC listed it as "Issued." This proved true and we are very excited that the last part of the process has gone smoothly. The courier was in a plain white van which we saw drive up from the kitchen window. We went outside before he knocked, beaming with smiles, and he asked us if we were waiting for him (of course). My fiancee signed the tablet and we were given the packet. Inside was the passport with the visa sticker page, the packet you are not allowed to open and only to give to the immigration officer at point of entry, and a few other notices about next steps. Best of luck!

  2. If you don't have any prior surgeries or hospital visits or anything even mildly concerning that would make Knightsbridge do a double take, the summary will probably be fine. But it would probably be better to be safe than sorry and just have your full medical records on hand just for peace of mind and in case any issues pop up.  We paid £60 and got loads of previous reports and letters but we wish we would have prepared and had it at Knightsbridge during the appointment rather than receiving a letter from Knightsbridge that day requesting further information from the GP.  It seems like you have the time to get it done now maybe that will eliminate the possibility of snags further down the line. Wishing you the best of luck.

  3. When we went to Knightsbridge on Oct 2nd, we only had the summary. They said this wasn't enough and gave us another letter to pass to the GP. We did that On Oct 3rd, paid £60 for full medical reports and a letter from the GP but didn't receive the info back til Nov 5th. We rang up many times throughout that period but the GP didn't write the letter til Nov 2nd. We received that letter back with additional letters and reports amounting to 26 pages. That is what was sent back to Knightsbridge and was approved and sent to the embassy on Nov 15th. All this waiting around and ringing up and wasting time when we could have just requested all documentation beforehand. Unfortunately, we took some bad advice over the phone that "the summary should be good enough." It was not. I think you're doing the best thing you can do by getting all your records from your various service providers. It should paint a full picture of your history and you can use it to present your case from your perspective; you're more than a diagnosis typed on a page. We put together a 2-page summary ourselves using quotes from reports and letters which portrayed the reality of the situation and history. I hope this helps. In the end, you and your fiance are your own best advocates, as medical providers don't have the time or energy to devote to ensuring that your case moves forward. Best of luck again and let me know if you have any other questions I can help answer.

  4. No, we weren't aware of any £350 psych evaluation. We did have to pay £60 to get the full medical records and a letter from the GP though. From the records, I believe the full story was clear to Knightsbridge, even though the GP's letter was completely unhelpful.  My fiancee actually has never met that GP and it seemed that he didn't even look at the 26 pages of records, calling the information he had "scanty" which would have been laughable if it weren't so infuriating. Best advice I can give is get your hands of any and all documentation asap.

  5. Request a full medical report; the summary may not be enough in your case. Get your hands on any and all records possible from anywhere possible. Start getting the documentation now. Don't wait and don't believe anyone who tells you that the summary will be enough. Every case is unique and the more documentation you have the better. If you can get a GP to write a letter stating that you are "no harm to self or others" that seems to be the recurring theme of what they want. However, we weren't able to get a GP to sign off on anything, basically just wrote "no comment" and that coupled with 26 pages of documents and an addendum we wrote ourselves was sufficient. However, we had to wait an additional 5 weeks because we didn't realize that Knightsbridge would request additional info based on the summary and the GP office was slow as molasses. We wish we would have started getting all previous medical records much sooner.

FYI: The Visa Medicals consent form they give you when they request more info from your GP states:

-"You can ask the doctor to change any part of the report you consider to be inaccurate or misleading."

-"If the doctor declines to change the report, you can attach a written statement giving your views on its contents."

    Best of luck to you.

Ours were probably in the same pile! Haha, I only just now checked it so I'm not sure how long it's been at "issued." I'm so excited!

Definitely looks like they were in the same pile. It's unfortunate that the London embassy is closed tomorrow. In any instance, we're hoping based on other timelines that we'll get the tracking info either Friday or Monday and get the packet via DX Group Monday or Tuesday. Keep me posted! Almost there!

I'm checking religiously.. haha. I think I missed the change from immigrant to non-immigrant as I just checked and the "case created" and the "last updated" are now both today. Fingers crossed it'll change to issued tomorrow.. 🤞

Good luck! Think we might be on the same "Issued" timeline!! :D Keep me updated!

We will be so so beyond happy if it changes to issued tomorrow.  We're ready for the tracking info so we can buy our plane tickets!  We'll keep ya posted and please do the same.

  8. Hopefully our experience can help someone else.  The best advice we can give is GET EVERY SINGLE PIECE OF MEDICAL INFORMATION you can get your hands on from your GP, from any reports, from the NHS, from your old records, from wherever. GET IT ALL AND START GETTING IT NOW, AS MUCH IN ADVANCE AS POSSIBLE. Pay any fees you need to, it will be much less expensive in the long run. And don't believe anyone who tells you that the summary should be enough. It may not be. If it seems that if you have ANYTHING that makes Knightsbridge do even a slight double take, they will request more information from your GP.  And in our experience, we had to wait from October 3rd to November 5th for the GP to write a 5 sentence letter of no real value or help.  Medical offices and GPs have no real stake or interest in your case and they can be unbearably and frustratingly S-L-O-W and unhelpful.  In the end, I believe it was more the additional medical reports that showed the full story, as it seemed the GP didn't want to sign his name to anything and essentially wrote "no comment."  Understandably he didn't know much about my fiancee as he had only been assigned in 2016 and never met her. However, to take an entire month to get that information back to us felt cruel, and was simply exasperating. Now that we are nearly out of the matrix, we are breathing a bit easier since the embassy are in the final stages of processing our case. But we could have saved ourselves lots of stress and exhaustion if we would have requested any and all records from everywhere possible, starting from when we filed our original 129F petition in February. Good luck to all.

Keep checking CEAC and when your status changes from immigrant to non-immigrant you are just a day or so away from final approval and visa produced. How long the delivery takes, I can't help there.

Thank you, we didn't know about that, we've been checking CEAC and saw that someone at the embassy had our case in their hands today for the first time since Oct 11th after the interview.  Still in Administrative Processing, but hopefully changes to non-immigrant and issued soon!

We just checked and it changed to non-immigrant today (Nov 20th) so maybe tomorrow it changes to issued and then it gets sent off Thursday or Friday. We are beyond ready.

Go to the UK FORUM where a group are discussing their progress on this topic specific to Knightsbridge clinic and London consulate. They give dates, experience, and are starting to get their visa delivery emails.

Thank you for letting me know how to access the UK forums...I was somehow only going to the K1 forums but I see now that if I scroll to the bottom of the forums I can get to the UK specific area.

Hiya! The above forum linked is great but thought I would share our experience as well.

Knightsbridge sent my fiance's medical to the embassy last Wednesday (November, 14th) and the embassy received it today (the 19th). It hasn't been issued yet but they've updated our case so hoping it will happen soon. His interview was October 24th and we were waiting for additional information as well. I hope they can get it to the embassy and approved before they slow down for Thanksgiving! Good luck. :)

Thank you, our case was actually updated today (the 19th) on the CEAC tracker for the first time since Oct 11th (the day after the interview) so we'll take that as a good sign and maybe we both get lucky and something happens with our cases before the holiday slowdown. Fingers crossed...

  13. Hello, any help is greatly appreciated. We rang up today and Visa Medicals (London Knightsbridge) have informed us that the medical results were sent to the embassy yesterday. Does anyone know how long the embassy takes to change the status on the CEAC tracker or how long before the visa gets mailed off via courier? (We already had the interview and were approved Oct 10th but have been waiting for additional medical info since then.) Thank you in advance for any help.

    Hi,

Do I understand correctly that once you have booked your interview you can go back in to look for closer dates coming up?

Also when you book medical is that online or by phone and can you request to be informed of cancellations if they come up?

    Thanks,

    1) Yes, you can look on the website for different interview appointments after you've booked yours.

    2) The medical is only booked over the phone and you have to call to check if there are any different appointments.

How do you know the Case Created and Received dates?

On the phone I asked if there was any other information I need to know and he said that the case was created on the 10th, the received date I am referencing is just when I was able to get my number.

I am hoping that our case gets sent in the next batch around the 21st of Sept as I keep reading that there are two batches per month, one around the 7th and one around the 21st and it seems like it takes about 3 days or so for the embassy to receive. (If anybody has more info please feel free to correct, thanks)

  16. Just called NVC and got to talk to someone within 5 minutes. I was asked for my case number and approval date (Aug 24 NOA2). She said the case is not currently at the NVC and it said it could take up to 6 weeks for them to receive it (though I have read that this is just the standard thing they say). Will keep trying to call and get a case number this week.  Hopefully this information is helpful for someone.
