Not sure what the usual is but for us we got our interview scheduled about 3 weeks after our status was "ready to be scheduled." If you keep checking your status, it will change to "interview was scheduled" and that's when you know to be checking the mail. We did not get our combo card yet and likely will have the green card before EAD and AP.
  2. Thanks

You can get an RFE at any time during your visa process. Due to current protracted processing times and dispersal of the workload, there really isn't any "usual" time to get scheduled for the interview. Due to same protracted processing times, and workload dispersal, you may receive your combo card before of after the interview. A review of some recent AOS forum threads, would likely not reveal any discernible pattern. A lot seems to depend on the local field office, check reviews of the field office for possible clues, https://www.visajourney.com/reviews/

Good luck on your immigration journey.

From my experiences of following others:
    1. I485 RFEs come at the beginning of the I485 process.
    2. I765/I131 RFEs come at the end of their process just before approval.

An RFE for any of them pauses the process for all.

Got one before my biometrics date was up. So got the bio letter and later the RFE.
You can still go to the biometrics despite the RFE.

rashie reacted to G C in What should I do with my SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-Ibig?
Called their hotline last night and here's what I gathered.

    1. Go to pagibigfund.gov.ph
    2. Scroll down to Downloadable Forms. On the left, choose Provident Related. Under Claims, download Application for Provident Benefits (APB) Claim. Download, print and fill this out.
    3. Submit the form to any Pag-Ibig branch. Bring two valid government-issued IDs and a photocopy of your passport.

Idk how long til they issue the check. I'll be submitting my claim next week to find out.

Ok, according to their Provident Benefits Claim charter, it can take 8-20 days.

Apart from a photocopy of your passport, they also require a sworn Declaration of Intention to Depart from the Philippines permanently (notarized, no need to submit of already based abroad). This is also in their downloadable forms.

No packets.   What happens at other embassies doesn't apply to USEM.

Follow the process as listed in the links provided earlier and you will be done with the interview in short order.

Also, there is a sub-forum for the Philippines here on VJ that you should be a part of. It's a good place to read what others are experiencing which will only prepare you for your interview.

People will say anything to scare people into using their services. Search for the facts. If you read the instructions and guides, you can file a complete packet fine.
