Congratulations!  Please post here later after you get through successfully (notice I'm sending you positive thoughts there  :) ).  That will be helpful information for the rest of us to know that you're okay with such a slight mishap.

All the best to you both!

Just went through this in the last couple of weeks....see my timeline...

Yes...I also went to 'issued' in 24 hours.

Visa was at the local 2Go office in 4 business days....from interview....hehehe....but 2GO (Vigan, Phil) was less than stellar.....finally just went and picked it up....on the 5th (business) day.

Oh wow. Yayyy i'm more excited now!!!

Hour ago and you are looking for ISSUED status?  Not anxious are you ~

3 - 10 business days on average, sometimes longer.   Another 3-7 business days after that for delivery.

When they are ready to issue a visa, it should change to "Nonimmigrant Visa Application"; at that time, you  will know that you are a few days away from getting it. It would go from "Immigrant Visa Application" to "Nonimmigrant Visa Application" and  go to "Ready" ==> "Administrative Processing" ==>> "Issued".

Sometimes, it might skip "Administrative Processing" and go from "Ready" to "Issued".

Just a little more patience is needed.

Thank you ! Yeaaa i've been anxious and paranoid ever since we're almost at the end haha.

    Congrats!

Depends on any post-interview processing, background checks, etc. take. Usually it's only  a few (business) days. Sometimes it's up to a couple weeks. Rarely it takes longer.

    Hi!

The CEAC status updated to Administrative Processing. Is this normal?

Do remember   CFO is by appt only for the seminar.

Hank, I looked at your website, what does USC mean?

    • From USC (copies of) - bio page of passport, birth certificate, divorce decree (if been married before) are the most common requests.  If you have never been married before be prepared to provide a copy of your ITR to prove your singleness... of course BLACKENING out the SSN for sure.

The 2nd day of the medical, if all is good, you will receive vaccinations, a sealed envelope with your medical file, a CD with your X-ray (for you) and a DS-3025 (keep this as you will need it in the USA later).   You hand carry the medical file to your interview.

If your medical doesn't go well and you have to complete SPUTUM or something else you will be notified on this by the 2nd day also.

Cancelling and/or rescheduling can be done easily online or by phone.

Thank you for your usual help Hank! :)

Unless there was an issue at the medical (i.e. sputum testing), the beneficiary will be given a sealed packet to hand deliver to the embassy.

Like above you should be given a packet and even a CD copy of the x-rays and all if it goes well.

    Thanks!

So, we're planning to do the medical on Monday and Tuesday, and we scheduled the interview the following Monday. If it does not go well, will they tell the result immediately? Will the rescheduling be hard?

    Park the paranoia ..

Just follow the process and you can be done in short order.  ;)

    1) Pay the visa fee

    2) Complete the DS-160

    3) Schedule your interview

    4) Complete the medical

    5) Have everything required by the embassy in STEP 5 from their checklist

    6) Attend the interview - smile and look the CO in the eyes when speaking.

Burning daylight with the paranoia.

    And don't forget CFO

Thank you for a quick summary on what to do ...  including parking the paranoia.. Lol

Packets...       USEM doesn't send you anything of importance for completing the visa application.

    Everything you need is online.

Only thing you are going to get from USEM of value is the packet AFTER the interview, and that will contain your passport with visa and a DO NOT OPEN envelope!

Thank you Hank! I've been relying on your website this whole time ... :) It's just that i've been paranoid and want to make sure that our process goes smooth. :) :) :)
